A Study Of Ollman’s Dialectical Thought

Ollman took the philosophy of internal relations as the main frame of the study of Marxist thought through his whole research career,and put Marx’s dialectics in the relationship to examine the abstract,systematic,organic and process.By reconstructing dialectics to reflect on and clarify the future and destiny of socialism,to think about the unprecedented challenges faced by Marxism,to further grasp the direction of the development of social reality,and to make it more in line with the development of contemporary capitalism.For us to study contemporary capitalism to provide reference theoretical resources.At the same time,Ollman did not fully understand Marxist dialectics in the process of reconstructing dialectics,so he returned to the traditional metaphysical field rejected by Marx.The dialectics of internal relations is composed of internal relations,abstraction and reverse historical research,which is the understanding of the complexity of Marx’s theory itself and the variability of concepts,and the key to his study of Marxist thought.On the basis of clarifying the theoretical background of Ollman Dialectics,this paper further analyzes the relationship between each link of Ollman Dialectics and Dialectics,and finally finds its contemporary value in practice.From the perspective of deconstruction and construction,this paper discusses the following problems.First of all,we investigate the proposition and theoretical purport of Ollman dialectics.With the change of the background of the times,the research emphasis of Marxism has also changed accordingly.In view of the urgent need to solve the problems of the times,Ollman further clarifies the importance of dialectics while reviving the dominant position of dialectics.He believes that the analysis of Marxist school’s rejection of dialectics is a problem in the whole process of Marxist development and can not be used as Marxist methodology to guide practical practice.Therefore,on the basis of critical analysis of Marxist repudiation dialectics,Ollman studies the contemporary significance and value of reconstructing dialectics,and gives the political economy direction of reconstructing Marxist dialectics.Secondly,this paper analyzes the theoretical elements and key steps of Ollman dialectics reconstruction.Ollman discusses dialectics from four aspects: first,the internal relationship is essentially a collection of processes and relationships,a unity of whole and part.External relations are the characteristics that emphasize the development and change of things and the addition of simple parts.Then he shows the importance of internal relationship in dialectics through identity and difference,solves the problem of seemingly paradox through internal relationship,and sees its independent difference while seeing identity.Promote the unity of dialectics and internal relations.Second,through the process of abstraction,Ollman analyzes the problem of elasticity in the use of Marxs concept,understands and deals with the main relations and changes of capitalism with the help of abstract scope,generalization level and angle,and effectively exerts the function of abstract method in dialectics to promote the unity of dialectics and abstract method.Third,Ollman studies the prospects of capitalism through reverse history research,as a reverse history research method in the field of social history ignored by some Marxists.Combining ourselves with dialectics makes us study the past from the present perspective and look for the future from the past.Therefore,it affirms the position of reverse history research in dialectics and promotes the unity of dialectics and reverse history research methods.Fourth,in the process of exploring the relationship between dialectics and internal relations,abstract relations,reverse history research,Ollman always uses the thinking mode of organic process,pays attention to the role of organic and process in dialectics,and promotes the unity of dialectics and organic process thinking.Finally,the identification of Ollman dialectics has the dual dimensions of deconstruction and construction and contemporary value.On the one hand,by criticizing and deconstructing bourgeois ideology,history and class nature,Ollman understood and grasped the reality of contemporary capitalism.On the other hand,through the reconstruction of dialectics,Ollman tried to construct socialist ideology,thus defending the realization of socialism.Therefore,the re-introduction and reconstruction of Ollmans dialectics removed the veil of hypocrisy of capitalism,which helps us to recognize the essence of capitalism and affirm the historical inevitability of socialist realization.Fully reflect the critical and revolutionary dialectics.
