Research On The Competitiveness Of The Eco-cultural Tourism Circle Around Taihu Lake

In the era of increasing competition in regional tourism,the Eco-cultural Tourism Circle around Taihu Lake,as a key geographical location and a core node with rich tourism resources,is an important carrier for the implementation of the Yangtze River Delta integration strategy.Suzhou,Wuxi,Changzhou and Huzhou are the four core cities in the region and have certain tourism cooperation based on their rapid development.However,the current concept of taking Taihu Lake tourism as a whole is still weak.How to use the advantages of ecological and cultural tourism resources in the Eco-cultural Tourism Circle around Taihu Lake,and how to strengthen regional tourism cooperation so as to enhance competitiveness are issues that need to be resolved urgently.After defining the spatial scope of the Eco-cultural Tourism Circle around Taihu Lake,this paper analyzes regional tourism basic capabilities,including tourism basic capacity,tourism supporting capacity and tourism output.In addition,this paper use GIS to study the distribution core density of tourism resources in Suzhou,Wuxi,Changzhou and Huzhou and analyze the conditions for the development of tourism in the region in detail.Subsequently,this paper uses the literature research method,network text analysis method and expert consultation method to identify and screen out the competitiveness evaluation index system of the Eco-cultural Tourism Circle around Taihu Lake.Besides,correlation analysis and discriminative analysis are applied to examine if the indicators can be used for empirical research.Following,entropy method is used to calculate the three-level weights of the evaluation indicators,the scores of each indicator and the total regional scores of the four cities based on the standardized values.And then,the paper analyzes the competitiveness of tourism performance,tourism resources,tourism environment,regional development,and public service.According to the above research,this paper identifies and analyzes the current problems in the process of enhancing the competitiveness of the tourism industry in the Eco-cultural Tourism Circle around Taihu Lake,and proposes the improvement path of "Mode of Circle Around Taihu Lake" based on the principle of "co-creation,co-construction,and sharing".At last,this paper provides measures and suggestions to promote competitiveness of the Eco-cultural Tourism Circle around Taihu Lake.
