With the rapid development of network technology and mobile communication technology,the use of modern educational technology in teaching has become the trend of the times.TPACK is more and more concerned by researchers in the field of teaching.At this stage,there are still some problems in senior high school English reading teaching,such as: Students’ interest in English reading is not high,the effect of reading learning is relatively low,classroom teaching is too rigid and so on,which affects the students’ English reading performance.In the college entrance examination,the reading part accounts for the largest proportion of the score,but it is difficult for students to improve their English reading performance.Therefore,the author wants to explore the influence of TPACK theory on students’ English reading interest and reading performance.In this study,40 students from class 1,grade 2 of a senior high school in Harbin were selected as the research objects,and the research lasted for 16 weeks.By using the methods of literature review,comparative study,questionnaire survey and interview,this study applies TPACK theory to senior high school English reading teaching and explores the following three problems:(1)What is the current situation of English Reading Teaching for senior high school students? What is the current situation of the application of TPACK theory in senior high school English reading teaching?(2)How should teachers apply TPACK theory to senior high school English reading teaching?(3)What is the impact of TPACK theory on students’ interest in reading and reading performance?Through data collection and analysis,the author draws the following conclusions:(1)TPACK theory is not widely used in senior high school English reading teaching.Students want to apply wechat and other multimedia to their study and are willing to improve their English reading ability through modern educational technology.(2)Teachers integrate modern educational technology into teaching by establishing wechat group,providing resource links,playing text recordings,PPT and MOOC videos.Teachers can basically apply TPACK theory to English reading teaching.(3)The application of TPACK theory in senior high school English reading teaching can obviously enhance students’ interest in English reading.Through the use of two sets of test papers for the pre-test and post test,it is found that there is a significant difference between the two test results,and the students’ English reading performance has been significantly improved. |
