According to the national standard for teaching quality of foreign language and literature in general universities(hereinafter referred to as the national standard,2018)and the undergraduate teaching guide for foreign language and literature in general universities(hereinafter referred to as the Teaching Guide,2020)issued by the Ministry of education,In order to ensure that college students can master the necessary basic skills including the learning content of higher education and the improvement of College Students’ cross-cultural ability,it is necessary to analyze the teaching materials used in "basic Japanese" as the core course of College Japanese major.Based on cortazzi & Jin’s and Allen & Valette’s classification theory of cultural elements and national standards,and from the perspective of regional structure and cultural structure,this paper takes Comprehensive Japanese(volume 1-4)and comprehensive Japanese Integrated Course(volume 1-4),two sets of basic Japanese course materials,which are widely used in China’s national planning textbooks,as the object of study.By means of literature analysis,text analysis and comparative analysis,this paper discusses the characteristics of cultural elements in two sets of basic Japanesetextbooks.The research shows that the similarities between the two textbooks are mainly reflected in the similar distribution ratio of cultural elements in regional structure,rich topic types and cultural elements close to students’ daily life;The differences are mainly reflected in the distribution ratio of comparative cultural elements,the specific regional tendency of mother tongue cultural elements,and the differences of interest,relevance and times of cultural elements.In addition,this paper also puts forward some suggestions on the compilation of cultural elements and the problems that teachers and students should pay attention to when using the two sets of textbooks.
