"Coupling",a concept in the western scientific field,evolved from the field of Western Electronics and telecommunications.The concept of coupling in English is understood from the point of view of physics,which means that "two or more systems or motion forms interact with each other through various interactions to form a mechanism to influence each other." Specifically speaking,after two substances pass a certain action,there is a certain interaction between the two substances,resulting in a quantitative relationship.The experimental process of the combination of art design and science and technology is a process of "coupling".This paper mainly analyzes the development direction of art design from the coupling phenomenon of the influence of modern science on contemporary art design.The rapid development of science and technology has a great impact on Contemporary Art and design,giving art and design a new form of creation and thinking methods.New technology brings artists new creative direction and ideas.Science and technology have influenced the development of art from different perspectives since the Renaissance.In all periods of art history,science and technology have inspired many artists to create,but these inspirations come from the artists’ own understanding of natural science.However,after the process of art reaches the contemporary era,with the progress of Science and technology,it has become exponential As a result,many scientists began to be influenced by the scientific and technological leap of this era,regardless of the form and content of the works have changed.Today,the discovery and application of scientific research are advancing at an amazing range and speed.This phenomenon is still affecting the whole society.The development of science and technology has already passed the limits of biological evolution and natural selection.Artists and designers are more and more inclined to observe and absorb all aspects of scientific development results.Therefore,biological art,artificial intelligence art and nano art are among them.The purpose of this paper is to study and summarize the development law of contemporary art design and science and technology.Through the research and analysis of literature research and case analysis,we have come to the conclusion that although artists are not so rigorous in scientific research and cognition,they integrate science into their own works of art and create many different works of art with the coupling method.
