A Study Of Sologub’s Novels From The Perspective Of Ecology

Sologub is a famous poet,novelist and dramatist in the Russian Silver age.His novels reveal the predicament of human existence in the rough and poor reality.Ecological criticism is a dynamic and open theory,and its research scope gradually extends from natural ecology to social and spiritual ecology.This paper investigates the ecological writing in Sologub’s novels from three aspects: natural ecology,physical ecology and spiritual ecology.The full text is divided into five parts.The introduction summarizes the research status of Sologub’s novels at home and abroad and the development of eco criticism,and expounds the significance,innovation and limitations of this paper.The first chapter discusses the ecological writing style of Sologub’s novels and the ecological consciousness revealed in it.It holds that the ecological writing of Sologub’s novels has the dual aesthetic characteristics of poetic and destructive coexistence.The personification of natural ecology shows Sologub’s reverence and respect for life.In the investigation of natural symbols,it is found that Sologub’s aesthetic bias towards "evil" reveals his dissatisfaction with reality subconsciously.Thus,it summarizes Sologub’s ecological concept that nature is heaven on earth,nature is spiritual home and the equality of natural life.The second chapter first discusses the definition of body ecology and the causes of body ecology crisis,and then reveals the body ecology crisis from three aspects: the first is the disciplined body,including the body regulated by the adult male discourse system,the punished body,the body being punished and sacrificed,etc.;the second is the materialized body,including the body over decorated,the body equivalent to property,and the body as a skill The third is the split body,that is,the body separated from spirit and body,the body in public space and private space,and the subject’s sexual repression and fantasy.Finally,the ideal body picture of Sologub is expounded.The third chapter discusses the causes,characteristics and the ideal beauty of Sologub’s spiritual ecological crisis.The reality that listeners are hard to find,the loss of truth,goodness and beauty,and the universal existence of morbid personality all prove that people’s mental state is unbalanced.Through the description of love,empathy and healthy personality,Sologub expounds his ideal spiritual ecological prospect.The fourth chapter discusses the cultural and practical significance of nature and Sologub’s pursuit of an ideal ecological harmonious society,that is,to reach the "other side" through death and creation.In the end,it makes a supplementary explanation of Sologub’s ecological writing from three aspects of aesthetics,philosophy and reality.
