| As a complete narrative chronicle,Zuo Zhuan gives a detailed account of the historical events in the spring and Autumn period.As an indispensable activity in the daily life of the nobles in the spring and Autumn period,banquet life has been fully recorded in Zuo Zhuan.Based on the study of the description of banquets in Zuo Zhuan,this paper attempts to analyze the social life of the aristocrats in the spring and Autumn period,and unfold a beautiful picture of banqueting and amusement.This paper first analyzes the banquet utensils of the nobles in the spring and Autumn period.Through the description of the banquet poems in the book of songs,this paper analyzes the selection and requirements of food and equipment for the banquet activities of the aristocrats in the spring and Autumn period from the use of utensils,food selection and the composition of food utensils.Secondly,this paper analyzes the banquet etiquette in the spring and Autumn period.Based on Zuo Zhuan and other relevant records,this paper makes a full analysis of three different levels of banquets,namely,the banquet ceremony,the Yan ceremony and the township drinking ceremony.After that,according to the description of banquet activities in Zuo Zhuan,this paper analyzes the social life of the nobles in the spring and Autumn period from four aspects,including clothing,etiquette,banquet poetry,and place selection.It also attempts to analyze the political activities among countries in the spring and Autumn period after the banquet through various appearances in the banquet activities.Finally,this paper analyzes the elegant spirit of spring and autumn banquet in Zuo Zhuan.During the spring and Autumn period,there were disputes among countries,and many talented people emerged.Under the influence of the old patriarchal and Zhou rites,gentlemen showed elegant spirit.It embodies the beauty of etiquette,ceremony and gentleman’s demeanor,which is worthy of appreciation and admiration. |
