A Study On The Stream-of-Consciousness Style Of Bargeman’s Films

Swedish director Ingman Bergman is a member of the Holy Trinity,along with Italian director Fellini and former Soviet director Andrei Tarkovsky.In the 1960 s,the three directors produced a large number of world-famous films and together brought European films to the top of the world.[Lin Lin,Soul Torture on the Beauty of Bergman’s Philosophical Films,Nanjing Press,2009,1st edition,p.1] Among them,Bergman shows a stream of consciousness style in many of his films,the reason is related to his childhood experience and marital troubles.This paper tries to comb and summarize the stream of consciousness films from the origin and development of the stream of consciousness films.Through the study of Bergman’s films,this paper analyzes the elements of the stream of consciousness and the characteristics of image style in Bergman’s films.Finally,I put the theory into practice in my graduation work "April 4",and objectively stated what elements of stream-of-consciousness style and listening skills were applied in the creation process of "April 4".
