| In this paper,367 appositive phrases selected from Lao She’s collection of works and Wang Shuo’s Collection of Works are taken as the main research objects,and classified,described and studied them respectively.Further refinement is carried out on the basis of referring to previous classification standards:First of all,according to the part of speech of the component item,namely "noun,pronoun and predicate",it can be divided into "nominal component and nominal component combination,nominal component and pronoun combination,pronoun and pronoun combination,predicate component and nominal component combination".Then,it is further subdivided according to the grammatical properties of the antecedents in the same category,among which the combined noun and noun components include "noun + noun form,noun +noun phrase form,noun phrase + noun phrase form and noun phrase + noun phrase form.The combination of noun and pronoun includes "noun + pronoun","pronoun + noun" and"pronoun + noun phrase".For the time being,there is only one combination of predicate and nominal component: predicate + nominal phrase.According to the semantic relationship between the preceding and the following items,it can be further divided into the superior and the inferior ones,which can be further divided into the superior and the inferior ones according to whether the noun phrases in the preceding or the following items contain demonstrative words or quantifiers with class mark function.In the process of classification description,it also focuses on the type comparison with the research of Liu Jiesheng(2000)and Liu Tanzhou(2016).In addition,a comparative study of appositive phrases in the two anthologies shows that there are more types of appositive phrases in Wang Shuo’s works than Lao She’s,and the number of appositive phrases in Lao She’s works is more,which is not only related to the development of the times,but also related to the writer’s writing style.This paper tries to find out the similarities and differences between the two anthologies,and analyzes and explains them.This paper is divided into five parts:The first chapter is the introduction,which introduces the purpose and significance of this topic,summarizing the previous research results and putting forward the existing research problems to be solved.It also introduces the theory and methods of the study and the source of corpus.The second chapter mainly analyzes the 215 appositive phrases distribution of the main phrases in Lao She’s collection.This third paper analyzes the internal classification description and comparison of152 appositive phrases in Wang Shuo’s anthology,and analyzes the distribution of appositive phrases in Wang Shuo’s time.The fourth chapter compares the type distribution,frequency of use and syntactic distribution of appositive phrases in the two anthologies,and concludes the conclusion of this paper. |
