"Fisherman" is a typical literary image,which has always been favored by the ancients and is reflected in poetry,prose,drama,novel and other genres.This paper selects the image of "fisherman" in the pre-Qin and Han dynasties for research,comprehensively examines the relevant materials of this period,analyzes from the source,and sorts out three types of "fisherman" images: weird,reclusive and secular.Combined with the historical background,this paper discusses the connotation and significance of the image of "fisherman",in order to understand this image more accurately and meticulously.The first chapter mainly makes the background analysis,inspects the historical environment of "fisherman".Human beings lived on fishing and hunting at the earliest.With the development of economy and civilization,fishing activities came into the cultural life.The fishing official system of the pre-Qin and Han dynasties also had a certain influence on the image of the "fisherman".Fishing activities of different classes have formed a variety of images of the "fisherman".The second chapter mainly studies the image of the weird "fisherman".In the pre-Qin and Han dynasties,the thoughts of the immortals’ calamities prevailed,and the activities of fishing were often of a weird character.There are both transformation of historical figures and fictitious new "fisherman" images.The literati often use exaggerations to render the fishing technique of "fisherman" to persuade the government and explain their own ideas.The third chapter mainly studies the image of the reclusive "fisherman".In the pre-Qin period,people living in seclusion in the water area were characterized by leisurely and ease.Zhuangzi and Chuci create a complete and profound image of "Fisherman",and thus the secluded image of "fisherman" is stereotypical.During the Han Dynasty,the connotation of "fisherman" changed,and the leisure atmosphere was greatly weakened."fisherman" once became the representative of virtuous and benevolent people.The fourth chapter mainly studies the image of the secular "fisherman".Secular "fisherman" image is diverse,difficult to unify.Its image connotation changes with the plot and its plasticity is strong.The significance of secular "fisherman" image mainly lies in promoting the development of literature and providing creative materials and writing ideas for novels and other genres of later generations.
