As an indispensable high-frequency vocabulary in daily communication, there have been many research results on appellatives, including their definition, generalization, proliferation and recession,as well as single appellatives or single appellative groups in the emerging appellatives on the Internet. This paper takes the generalized kinship appellation derived from contemporary Chinese as the main research object, and select the typical appended kinship appellatives "little brother, big brother/big sister, big mother, uncle, grandfather",and investigate the components, characteristics, generation mechanism, and epistemic functions of the emerging appellatives from three dimensions: syntax, semantics, and usage, based on modern Chinese lexicography, cognitive linguistics, and sociolinguistics. This paper is divided into eight parts: the first part is about the development of the new appellative, the second part is about the development of the new appellative, and the second part is about the development of the new appellative. This paper is divided into eight main parts. The first part is the introduction, which defines the object and scope of the study, clarifies the reasons for the selection of this paper and the significance of the topic;briefly describes the current status of domestic research, including the definition of appellative terms and case studies;and then briefly introduces the research method and corpus sources of this paper. The second part is the composition and collocation of the emerging appellation "X-Xiao Ge".We systematically discuss the generalization of "X Xiao Ge" in modern Chinese and its causes, including the types of generalization markers, the pragmatic functions and the reasons for its emergence. The third part is about the epithet function of the emerging appellative "X-Da Ge/Jie".In the process of generalization,"Da Ge/Jie" fades from the marker of kinship, and is applicable in a wide range of situations based on the semantic feature of honorific, with a strong sense of identity and its own semantic ambiguity,so that both parties can build an allied position through subjective initiative, thus narrowing the social communication distance. The fourth part is the nature and characteristics of the emerging term "X-Da Ma",which is derived from "Middle-aged Chinese Women" and "Da Ma Square Dance" and "Wonder Da Ma".We focus on the composition and functions, formation and development, and linguistic features of this series of "X-Da Ma".The fifth part is a multi-dimensional analysis of the emerging term "X-Uncle".The main source is the online media, and the analysis is based on the "small triangle theory",which is based on the three dimensions of language form, language meaning and language function."X-Uncle" as a whole has undergone linguistic aggregation and formatting, with weakened conceptual meaning of kinship, unrestricted emotional expression and more flexible combination and collocation. In the discourse communication, the referential image and the focal event are more markedly highlighted, reflecting the development trend of "lightness" in interpersonal communication. The sixth part is the development and evolution of the emerging term "X-Ye".On the whole, the network appellation "Ye" weakens the initial authority of status and highlights the semantic features of brashness, dash and dominance. On this basis,a series of linguistic phenomena have been derived, which have been widely disseminated by online media, presenting a diverse social mentality pattern. In the seventh part,we summarize the existing communicative problems of the emerging appellative "X + kinship appellative" from the perspectives of ephemeral and co-temporal evolution, taking into account the previous five cases. The aim is to contribute to the healthy development of language life in contemporary society. Finally, the concluding summarize the main points of the paper and point out the shortcomings of the paper.
