A Study On The Metaphorical Meaning Of Disyllabic Nouns In Xian Han[7^th Edition]

This article uses the Modern Chinese Dictionary[7^thEdition]（《现代汉语词典》第7版）compiled by the Dictionary Editing Office of the Institute of Languages of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences as the research object.To study the metaphorical meaning of disyllabic nouns from the perspectives of the paraphrase model of disyllabic nouns,the similarities and equivalents between◇+example and the Guo Yu Ci Dian（《国语辞典》）.Explore the paraphrase model,provide credible data for the compilation of Chinese dictionaries and dictionaries and the study of metaphorical meaning.The full text is divided into six chapters:The first chapter,"Introduction",A review of Xian Han[7^thEdition]（《现汉》第7版）disyllabic nouns and their interpretations and academic research on metaphors,and explains in detail the research object,significance and research methods of this article.The second chapter,"The Basic Model of‘Xian Han’（《现汉》）Two-syllable Nouns’Metaphorical Meaning Interpretation（Part1）".A study on the theme of the paraphrase model of nominal words in the book"Analysis and Description of Word Meaning"（《词义的分析和描写》）,categorize the two-syllable noun"figurative"prompt form in"Xian Han"[7^thEdition]（《现汉》第7版）.Analyze the object to be explained belong to the category represented by the class words[m=L],the explained word is equal to the species difference plus the class words[m=t L],and the multi-phrase[m=t L₁+t L₂+…]model contained in the metaphorical meaning.It is found that the model of m=t L occupies the majority,and the relationship between species difference and similar words is a modification.The third chapter,"The Basic Model of‘Xian Han’（《现汉》）Two-syllable Nouns’Metaphorical Meaning Interpretation（Part 2）".The metaphorical meaning of the word to be interpreted as the definitional variant[m=Lt],containing multiple species differences[m=（t₁or,comma t₂）L],containing multiple class words[m=t L₁（and,comma;or）L₂]and other combination types as the main object,to explore the paraphrase law of the metaphorical meaning of two-syllable nouns.It is found that the connection effect of"or,comma,and"in figurative meaning is prominent and obvious;multiple kinds of differences or similar words can appear at the same time,indicating that nouns can represent various characteristics or categories of things.The fourth chapter,"The Discourse Features of the Disyllabic Nouns in‘Xian Han’（《现汉》）‘◇+Matching Examples’",draws on the discourse theory in action and analyzes the discourse practical action carried in these special collocations.The research finds that it is reflected in the"dialogue,interactive,constructive,and reflective"four aspects.The fifth chapter,"The Development of Xian Han（《现汉》）to Guo Yu Ci Dian（《国语辞典》）Metaphorical Interpretation"is divided into five categories:transfer,enlargement,reduction,ascension,and transformation.It analyzes the evolution of semantic meaning and explores the law of the interpretation of metaphors in dictionaries.It is found that metaphorical meanings are divided and merged in the development,and come to the conclusion that the interpretation of Xian Han（《现汉》）from the Guo Yu Ci Dian（《国语辞典》）is obviously inherited,and more of it is development.The sixth chapter,"Conclusion",summarizes the paraphrase mode of the metaphorical meaning of nouns,analyzes the relatively high-frequency cases of morphemes,and analyzes the role of morphemes in conjunction with paraphrases.
