A Report On Simulated Simultaneous Interpretation Of The2019-2020 Bilibili Chinese Animation Works Conference

The deepening cultural exchanges among countries give international animation industry more opportunities for development.At the same time,Chinese national animation industry is developing fast with amazing innovation.In recent years,Chinese animation,with innovative contents,has enabled more people to appreciate Chinese culture.In this context,the author has done a simulated simultaneous interpretation of the first half of the Bilibili Chinese Animation Works Conference from Chinese to English.This report analyses a simulated simultaneous interpretation task entitled“2019-2020 Bilibili Chinese Animation Works Conference”.Analyses are made on the typical interpreting problems and the corresponding solutions.The problems include many professional and unfamiliar terms,redundancy and oral errors.The corresponding interpreting strategies include omission,segmentation and prediction.By doing this simulated simultaneous interpretation,the interpreter realizes that it is necessary to make full preparation before interpreting and sharpen the online searching skills and increase the analytical ability so as to improve the interpreting ability and efficiency.It is hoped that this report will offer interpreters some references in the future.
