A Study On The Phenomenon Of Horizontal Selection In The Epigraphy Of Literati’s Seal Cutting Characters

Seal cutting’s horizontal extraction method is that seal carvers absorb creative elements and draw lessons from similar artistic elements on the basis of existing art.This paper takes the characters in the study of epigraphy as a clue to study the lateral selection of characters in the study of epigraphy by seal carvers.This paper puts forward the definition of horizontal method,takes the rise of gold and stone as the background,explores the internal relationship between the phenomenon of horizontal method and gold and stone,and analyzes the significance of it to the horizontal method of seal cutting through the stage and classification of ancient seal printing in gold and stone.This paper puts forward the background of the gradual development of Jinshi,taking the more representative Jinshi characters as an example,to find out the source of the horizontal method of literati seal cutting in Jinshi.Through the study of the scope of seal cutting art,the increase of printing theory and the increasing aesthetic view of seal cutting artists,this paper summarizes and discusses the development of gold and stone characters in later generations and the promotion of aesthetic and innovation of seal cutting art.
