Herbert Marcuse American-American philosopher and social theorist, the main representative of the left of the Frankfurt School, analyzed the cause of "alienated consumption" in his classic "One-dimensional Man".It is proposed that the developed industrial society suppresses the negative, critical, and transcendental dimensions of people’s hearts, making this society a one-dimensional society, creating an environment of "false consumption" for people, and people living in it with a one-dimensional person, such a person loses his freedom and creativity, and no longer imagines or pursues a life different from real life.He believes that capitalism has gradually made alienated consumption a new form of ruling bourgeoisie through the advancement of science and technology.Critical instrumental rationality has replaced technological rationality as a political tool for maintaining bourgeois rule. From the perspective of philosophical research,Marcuse conducted introspection and exposed criticism of the theory of alienated consumption and the root cause of this phenomenon. He strongly called for the return of human nature and adhered to the human-centered thinking. On the basis of following Marxist theory and from the perspective of Marxist philosophy, this article is divided into three parts. The first part is the era background and thought origin of Marcuse’s "alienated consumption" thought. The second part is Marcuse. The main content and limitations of Serbia’s "alienated consumption" thought;the third part is the value of Marcuse’s "alienated consumption" thought.Dialectically consider the value of Marcuse’s alienated consumption theory. While seeing its historical significance and practical value,it is also necessary to see the theoretical limitations and analyze the positive guiding significance of its theoretical thinking for the socialist modernization of our country.Taking this as a lesson,we actively advocate that people in today’s society should properly construct a consumption outlook and realize the comprehensive and sustainable development of people and society. |
