A Research On Marx’s Critique Of Stirner’s Philosophical Thought

“The German Ideology” is one of the most important text to represent the Marxist theory.When we are studying this masterpiece,we cannot do without an important person,that is the representative of young Hegelians — Max Stirner.Modern western philosophers give both praise and praise to Stirner.Stirner’s most controversial philosophical work is “The Ego and Its Own”,published in 1844.In this book,Stirner put forward the philosophical propositions of “Extremely Egoism”,“Anarchism” and “Nihilism”,and fought against the traditional metaphysics represented by Hegel,Feuerbach and Powell in a unique way of “The Ego”.Although there are many absurdities and unrealistic fantasies in Stirner’s expression,it cannot deny that Stirner uses the identity of “The Ego” to resist the oppression and bondage of the traditional metaphysics on individual personality,so as to highlight the positive significance of the personality of life.Stirner’s declaration of war against traditional metaphysics touched Marx’s philosophical reflection on German metaphysics.Marx believes that there is some positive significance in Stiner’s thoughts,such as his criticism of traditional metaphysics.At the same time,Marx criticizes the limitations of Stiner’s philosophy in his book “The German Ideology”.From the Angle of material production practice,he puts forward the concept of“realistic individual”,on this basis,he liquidates the previous philosophical belief,establishes the scientific practical viewpoint,and then realizes the liquidation and sublation of the whole young Hegelianism and Feuerbach.It can be seen that Stirner’s philosophical thought plays a very important role in the formation of Marx’s philosophical thought.Stirner’s philosophical idea of establishing an “Egoist Alliance” with the identity of“the Ego” breaks the traditional metaphysical understanding and definition of human,and turns the theoretical focus from the universal to the individual,from the “class” to the individual.Stirner tried to surpass Feuerbach’s “class” with his creation of “self-consistent egoist”,but in Marx’s view,the concept of “self-consistent egoist” still did not materialize,but just stayed in an abstract sense.Marx criticizes Stirner’s thought of “The Ego” from the perspective of material production practice,and pays attention to the existence of living individuals from this perspective,and distinguishes between “abstract individuals” and“realistic individuals”.Marx criticized Stirner about the idea of “Egoist Alliance”,in the process from the material aspects of objective existence,shows that of social relations and to find the material basis for the behind it,which divides the “imaginary community” and “the real community”,further found only in the social community to achieve all-round development in the conclusion.Starting from the text of Marx’s philosophical work The German Ideology,this paper makes a detailed study of the chapter “Saint Max” to explore Marx’s evaluation of Stirner’s philosophical thought.It is hoped that Marx’s criticism of Stirner’s philosophy can be made clear while making an in-depth analysis of Stirner’s philosophy.In order to explain Marx’s transcendence and value of Stirner’s philosophy,it can not only supplement and perfect the development history of Marx’s philosophy thought,but also give play to the realistic value of Marxist philosophy thought,so as to provide reference for the construction of socialist thought in China.
