Research On Xi Jinping’s Important Expositions On Cultural Exchanges With Foreign Countries

With the development of globalization,exchanges and cooperation between countries are becoming more and more frequent,and mankind is becoming a community with a shared future.Countries are required to strengthen exchanges and cooperation to jointly cope with world problems.Therefore,foreign cultural exchanges play an increasingly important role in a country’s foreign relations.However,there are also discordant voices such as the theories of "clash of civilizations" "civilizational superiority" and " China threat",and there are ideas and behaviors that are not conducive to cultural exchanges among countries,such as cultural hegemony.The Chinese nation has always loved peace since ancient times,and the previous leadership of the Chinese Communist Party has paid attention to the role of foreign cultural exchanges in economic politics.Today,China’s development and the realization of various initiatives,such as the construction of the "Belt and Road",build of a human community with a shared future,and the realization of the "Chinese Dream" require external cultural exchanges,all of which require a harmonious international environment.Therefore,the Party Central Committee with Xi Jinping as its core has made a series of discussions on foreign cultural exchanges.This research starts from three aspects.First,review the theoretical background,era background,and formation process of Xi Jinping’s important exposition on foreign cultural exchanges.The theoretical background includes Marxist cultural outlook,Chinese-style thoughts on foreign cultural exchanges,“Harmony Notion” in Chinese Excellent Traditional Culture,and international anti-civilization conflict theory.Xi Jinping’s important exposition on foreign cultural exchanges was formed on the basis of inheriting and developing these theories.Era background includes international background and domestic background of China.The formation of Xi Jinping’s important exposition on foreign cultural exchange has undergone the process of budding,preliminary formation,and continued development.This important exposition is constantly developing and mature.Secondly,by combing and analyzing the literature,it is believed that Xi Jinping’s important exposition on foreign cultural exchange is a scientific system composed of the principles,content,and channels of foreign cultural exchange.The principles of adherence to respect for cultural diversity,respect for cultural equality,adherence to openness and tolerance,adherence to cultural exchanges and mutual learning,and adherence to cultural self-confidence;foreign cultural exchanges mainly include the exchange of Chinese traditional culture,cultural industry exchanges,education exchanges,religious and cultural exchanges;foreign cultural exchanges are developed through the development of common cultures of various countries,the formation of a multi-cultural exchange pattern,the active mobilization of social forces,the creation of an online cultural exchange and sharing platform,and the telling of Chinese stories.Finally,from the perspective of both theory and practice,sum up and evaluate Xi Jinping’s important expositions on foreign cultural exchanges,and believe that it has the theoretical value of enriching and developing Marxist cultural outlook,inheriting and developing the thought of foreign cultural exchanges,providing and forming new ideas of human cultural exchange;it has a guiding role in the development of Chinese diplomatic cause,building a human community with a shared future,building the "Belt and Road",and realizing the "Chinese dream".This important exposition also contributed to the "China’s proposals" for human cultural exchanges.
