Frankfurt School is one of the most important schools in western society. Its research covers a wide range of fields, including politics, society and consciousness. One of the members of this school is Herbert Marcuse, whose book is called "the most mature analysis of developed capitalist society so far".His alienation thought had an important influence on later generations, and he was praised as "the ideological base of the 20 th century".Marcuse’s turbulent experience had a great influence on the emergence of his alienation thought, and his alienation theory also developed and changed continuously under this background.Marx’s theory of labor alienation,Hegel’s thought of externalization,Freud’s psychoanalysis and Lukacs’ materialized theory all have important theoretical influences on the formation of Marcuse’s thought of alienation. Therefore,Marcuse formed his own understanding of alienation theory on this basis, including one-dimensional society,one-dimensional people and important ideological theories such as suppression of love and desire. He attaches great importance to the development of human beings in the real world, thus seeking solutions to alienation problems from political, economic, cultural and other multiple fields, aiming at seeking a way out for the free liberation of human beings.Early western Marxism also promoted the formation of Marcuse’s theory of alienation.Marcuse made in-depth research on revolution, science and technology and collectivity on the basis of their theory,so as to have a deeper understanding of the phenomenon of alienation.Nowadays, with the rapid development of science and technology, human beings are gradually lost in this materialistic society and gradually lose everyone’s innate ability to judge and criticize. Therefore,in the critical period of the development of socialism with Chinese characteristics, exploring Marcuse’s alienation thought has far-reaching influence on the completion of modernization. |
