The Study On The Relationship Between Drug Craving,Self-esteem And Impulsivity In Female Drug Addicts And The Intervention Of Naikan Cognitive Therapy | | Posted on:2021-11-08 | Degree:Master | Type:Thesis | | Country:China | Candidate:Y B Li | Full Text:PDF | | GTID:2505306470976529 | Subject:Applied psychology | | Abstract/Summary: | PDF Full Text Request | | Objective: This study aimed to explore the relationship between drug craving,self-esteem and impulsivity in female drug addicts and the intervention effect of Naikan Cognitive Therapy on self-esteem and drug craving in female drug addicts.Methods: By means of Visual Analogue Scale/Score(VAS),Self-Esteem Scale(SES),Barratt Impulsiveness Scale-11(BIS-11)and self-mode general information investigating scale,the first study investigated 281 individuals with substance use disorder in the women compulsory isolation rehabilitation center in Tianjin.The collected data were analyzed by descriptive statistic,Pearson product-moment correlation,T-test and process program.Seventy-two subjects were randomly divided into study group(n = 36)and control group(n = 36)in the second study.The study group received the intervention of Naikan Cognitive Therapy and the control group received the routine education in the drug rehabilitation center.Before and after the intervention,Visual Analogue Scale(VAS)and Self-Esteem Scale(SES)were evaluated in both groups.Data were processed using the Chi-square test,T-test and repeated measurement analysis of variance.Results: The results of the first study showed that:(1)there was a significant negative correlation between impulsivity and self-esteem(P < 0.05),and both of them were significantly correlated with drug craving(P < 0.05);(2)self-esteem plays a partial mediating role in the effect of impulsivity on drug craving.The results of the second study showed that:(1)compared with routine education,NCT can improve the self-esteem in drug addicts more effectively;(2)compared with regular education,NCT can reduce the drug craving in drug addicts more effectively.Conclusions:(1)impulsivity can affect drug craving directly in female drug addicts and can also affect drug craving indirectly through self-esteem;(2)NCT can significantly improve the self-esteem in female drug addicts and reduce the drug craving in female drug addicts substantially. | | Keywords/Search Tags: | female, drug addicts, drug carving, self-esteem, impulsivity, Naikan Cognitive Therapy | PDF Full Text Request | Related items |
