| Stretching thousands of kilometers and spanning thousands of years,the Silk Road connects Asia with Europe,East and West.The Mogao Grottoes of Dunhuang,the most western part of hexi Corridor,is a treasure house of multiple arts of inestimable value.The art in the grottoes is the crystallization of the exchange and mutual learning between Chinese and Western civilizations,which is well-known far and wide and enjoys a good reputation overseas,leaving precious wealth for the world.Dunhuang Mogao Grottoes is a world famous cultural holy land.The frescoes and painted sculptures in the grottoes truly record the development history of Chinese art,which are of rich academic research value and provide sufficient nutrients for modern art creation.The content of this paper is based on the experience gained from consulting relevant materials and going to Dunhuang to investigate the murals in the grottoes on the spot.It is a series of works of "Dunhuang Tales" created on the basis of studying the works of predecessors on relevant subjects.Based on the background of The Silk Road culture,this paper adopts the method of combining theory with creative practice to summarize and extract image symbols such as "hand" and "Buddha statue" in Dunhuang art.In the works,dunhuang elements are refined and summarized while personal feelings are integrated.Starting from conception on the basis of creation,the author explores how to find his own painting language from three aspects,namely,composition layout,modeling characteristics and color collocation,and illustrates with his own creation as an example. |
