Research On The Application Of Dunhuang Thousand-buddha Elements In The Creation Of High-temperature Color Glaze Porcelain Paintings

The images of Dunhuang thousand-buddha paintings are included in one kind of Buddha images,which are based on Buddhist sutras and the creative expression of the image of the Buddhist group visually.The number of these images can range from tens to thousands of bodies,dunhuang scholars have made a convention that this group and the individual in the group are called a Thousand Buddhas.The author uses the high-temperature color glazes in porcelain paintings as media materials,in order to study the artistic expression of the combination of the painting style of porcelain painting and the image elements of a Thousand Buddhas.Based on the fact that the image elements of the thousand-buddha paintings are relatively small parts of the elements of the Dunhuang Buddhist images,the previous research contents are still limited,and after years of immersion,the mineral pigments of the original wall patterns appear mottled and discolored,therefore the author carries on the content creation in the recognition basic dynasty and the drawing characteristic foundation again.Porcelain painting is made of high white clay and porcelain stone.It is rolled out until it is formed and evenly distributed.Then it is spread to a flat place for drying,and then it is burned or used as clay plate to become the basic carrier of porcelain painting.The porcelain plate in the porcelain painting is a form of painting on a two-dimensional plane.Therefore,the foundation of painting is inseparable from the painting carrier based on ceramics,and the painting style is only based on the selection of materials in the painting way.The combination of high-temperature color glaze porcelain painting and thousand-buddha image elements is based on the1,000-year-old characteristics of ceramic and thousand-buddha culture.In the creation of porcelain painting,the effect of concave and convex grains in the wall can be achieved through the texture,and ceramic pigments rich in mineral pigments,after1380 °C firing temperature,to achieve high-temperature corrosion-resistant physical properties and because of rich glaze color,has a unique artistic painting language.The author’s conception of the high temperature color glaze porcelain painting and the image element of thousand Buddhas provides the possibility for the symbiosis of Dunhuang culture and porcelain painting art,and at the same time spreads the painting form and style of Dunhuang culture,the aim of this practice is to realize the spread and rebirth of Dunhuang culture through specific porcelain painting,and to innovate for the inheritance of this ancient Chinese culture.
