Elementary school learning is to establish a solid foundation for subsequent learning.In addition to learning basic Chinese courses,English learning must also be highly valued.In terms of English teaching,the school needs to base on the learning characteristics of primary school students and apply the game ingeniously to English classrooms in order to maximize the learning efficiency of primary school students.At present,the use of English classroom games in primary schools is more but it is very difficult to satisfy.A series of problems have appeared in the English teaching process.This paper adopts the method of literature research,questionnaire survey,observation and interview.Firstly,the research problems are put forward,the research significance is clarified,and the research status in China is introduced.Secondly,I will study the game,the relevant concepts of game application and constructivist learning theory to provide a theoretical basis for the following research.Again,through the questionnaire survey method,interview method,the method of observation field survey of the current situation of primary school English classroom games used,objectively reflects the current primary school English classroom teaching situation,the game currently existing in the primary school English classroom teaching of the game in the content of a single game,the organization of game is loose,and teacher can’t control the class,lack of evaluation and feedback of result of the game,some students can’t join the game;The reasons are the lack of basic game content,the classroom game order is not in harmony,and the failure of teachers to realize the importance of classroom game evaluation and feedback,and the student’s participation is not balanced.Aiming at the problems in the game teaching in primary school English classroom,this paper puts forward a variety of game materials from the perspective of rational game planning and improve the teacher’s level.From the aspects of stimulating the learning motivation of primary school students,it is suggested to clarify the game rules and learning objectives before the game,and the teacher should improve the management of class,and to reward and criticize appropriately.From the aspect of paying attention to the evaluation of students’ participation in the game,this paper puts forward the suggestions of scientific game evaluation,timely summary and feedback.From the aspect of encouraging all members to join the game,it is suggested to encourage the participation of all members and pay more attention to the individual difference of students.
