The development of primary school English school-based curriculum is widely carried out in the frontiers of basic education.The education department,school leaders and English teachers have actively or passively participated in the practice of school-based curriculum development.They are keenly aware of the inevitable trend of school-based curriculum development.In the actual school-based curriculum development activities,there are many problems to be solved,to find and solve problems,in order to improve the quality of primary school English school-based curriculum development,and to reflect the significance of school-based curriculum development.The main research questions in this study are: What is the current status of the development of primary school English school-based curriculum in Xinjiang? How many schools have carried out primary school English school-based curriculum development activities? What problems exist in the development of English school-based curriculum hinder the development of school-based curriculum? What is the cause of these problems? How to solve these difficulties?The main research process of this study is to investigate the current situation of the development of primary school English school-based curriculum in Xinjiang by questionnaire survey and interview method,aiming at the teacher cognition,the background of school-based curriculum development,the organization process of school-based curriculum,and the development of school-based curriculum development.The problems in the management and reflection of the school-based curriculum,analyze the causes,and try to propose effective improvement strategies.The study found that there are some problems in the development of school-based English-based curriculum in Xinjiang.The overall participation of school-based curriculum development is low;teachers have misunderstandings about school-based curriculum development,and teachers are seriously involved in school-based curriculum development.Schools and teachers develop school-based courses.Before the lack of understanding of the needs of students,the school lacks a special school-based curriculum management organization,lack of high-quality English school-based textbooks.Through the inquiry of the problem,the main reason for the problem is that the school teachers have not correctly recognized the importance of the primary school English curriculum;the school curriculum development has always lacked the professional curriculum expert guidance,lack of professional school-based curriculum development training;Status.In order to solve the above problems,it is proposed to establish an expert cooperation system,strengthen the special training of school-based curriculum,establish a school-based curriculum management organization,compile quality school-based textbooks,promote self-training of teachers,improve teachers’ curriculum quality,strengthen teacher exchange and cooperation,and build a teacher cooperation community;Pay attention to the status of students and set up evaluation methods reasonably.
