| The Uyghur proverbs of complex sentence structure are not only concise and vivid,terse and forceful,but are also convenient for intone,easy to remember,and the profound Uyghur culture is reflected among the words and between the lines.Under the guidance of linguistics,rhetoric and culturology theory,this paper studies the Uyghur proverbs of complex sentence structure.Overall,the paper is divided into six chapters.The first chapter mainly expounds the research background,research purposes,research significance,research methods,and relevant research status nowadays both at home and abroad,and what’s more,the innovation points of this paper.The second chapter defines the related concepts of translation and Uyghur proverbs of complex sentence structure.The third chapter divides the categories of Uyghur proverbs of complex sentence structure from three perspectives: structure,rhetoric and culture.As far as the structure category is concerned,the subject-predicate sentence,the generalized-personal sentence,the subject-predicate sentence and the generalized-personal sentence,the generalized-personal sentence and the subject-predicate sentence,the non-subject-predicate sentence and the abbreviated sentence are the main structural categories within the clauses;In terms of rhetorical categories,metaphor and simile,analogy,exaggerated,antithesis,rhetoric question,anadiplosis and other rhetoric are the main rhetorical categories in Uyghur proverbs of complex sentence structure;As far as cultural categories are concerned,the cultural categories in Uyghur proverbs of complex sentence structure can be divided into material culture,institution culture and spiritual culture.In the fourth chapter,on the basis of summarizing and analyzing the structure,rhetoric and cultural-relevant translation strategies and methods of Uyghur proverbs of complex sentence structure,the methods of how to process in general and how to process flexibly are proposed.As to the structure of Uyghur proverbs of complex sentence structure,the general method of translation is to translate the proverbs into the corresponding sentence structures in Chinese.If there are no corresponding sentence structures in Chinese or the sentence structure of the original Uyghur proverbs of complex sentence structure is complicated,is feasible to translate them in a flexibly way;In terms of the rhetoric of Uyghur proverbs of complex sentence structure,Translators can generally use literal translation to retain its original rhetoric on the premise that reader’s reading comprehension is not affected.Otherwise,it needs to be paraphrased or modified into other rhetoric;As far as the culture of Uyghur proverbs of complex sentence structure is concerned,on the one hand,in order to let the readers understand the local manners and customs better,the general processing,that is,the alienation strategy can be used to guide the translation.On the other hand,taking the objective factors such as the reader’s scope of understanding and acceptance into account,the work can be modified.Namely,translators can use the flexible method: domestication strategy to guide the translation.In addition,when translating Uyghur proverbs of complex sentence structure,it is necessary to retain the cultural features as well as make the target readers understand.If necessary,the method of comprehensive processing,that is,comprehensive treatment of domestication and alienation,can be used.The fifth chapter mainly discusses the mistranslation phenomena of the structure,rhetoric and cultural in the process of translating Uyghur proverbs of complex sentence structure into Chinese,and proposes my own translation suggestions for the above mistranslation phenomena.The conclusions in Chapter 6 summarize the main theses and conclusions discussed in this paper. |
