The Research Of Carnival Images In Moyan’s Novels

In contemporary Chinese literary circles,Moyan is a extraordinary writer,who has a carnivalized temperament.Subverting the rational tradition of carnival thinking,conscious folk value orientation and civilian consciousness,witty language style and mixed style make Moyan’s novels present a unique carnival nature."Carnival poetics" is a theory initiated by the Soviet literary theorist Bakhtin.The theory has reached a relatively complete state through the research and interpretation of scholars of the past generations,but the carnival theory itself has profoundness,richness and openness.It still has a broad interpretation space and applicable value.Based on the text of Moyan’s novels,this paper uses Bakhtin’s "carnival theory " to study the carnival image series created in Moyan’s novels,focusing on the carnival spirit behind the image,and exploring its causes and reflecting on it.The full text is divided into five parts:The introduction mainly introduces the academic background of research topics.The topic selection is introduced from four aspects: the question,the research summary,the research method,and the innovation of this paper.The second part discusses the presentation of the carnival image in Moyan’s novels.Through the careful reading and analysis of the texts of Moyan’s,this part discusses the carnival characteristics of the banquet image,the carnivalized life image and the material-physical lower image in Moyan’s novels from three levels.The third part explores the spiritual implication behind the carnival image.The carnival image created in Moyan’s novels is supported by the spirit of carnivalization.These carnival images mainly reflect the carnival spirit of freedom and equality,rebellion and subversion,degrading and renewal.The integration of carnival spirit makes the works more Positive and progressive.The fourth part is to reflect on the carnival image created in Moyan’s novels.It mainly analyzes the reasons for shaping the carnival image from the two aspects of the background of the times and the cultural origin.From the two aspects of aesthetic value and carnival spirit,the positive value of carnival image is explored,and the shortcomings of carnivalized image are pointed out from two aspects: ethical standard anomie and kitsch tendency.The fifth part concludes with a summary of the full text.This article is guided by Bachkin’s carnival theory,based on Moyan’s novels,applying abstract theory to specific texts,comprehensively analyzing the carnivalimage in Moyan’s novels,and summarizing the systematic carnival characters in his works.The gallery,and explore its carnival spirit,to enrich the study of Moyan’s novels.
