The cultivation of thinking ability needs to conform to the development trend of the times in the new era,cater to the general direction of China’s socialist construction and the goal of cultural power,consistent with the requirements of basic education reform.In this study,the classroom question setting method guided by the cultivation of thinking ability in senior high school English reading teaching is studied.Firstly,the relevant research results in this field are collected by using the literature method,and the theoretical basis of this research is the interactive compensation reading teaching and Bloom’s cognitive domain teaching objectives.This paper mainly uses classroom observation method to screen 180 questions from teachers in some senior high school English reading classes in ** City and transcribes the corresponding corpus key points to explore how to reasonably design classroom questions and help cultivate students’ thinking ability in reading training.Through the field observation of front-line teaching,a large number of English reading classroom questioning teaching cases are observed and collected,and the status quo of teachers’ questioning in English reading teaching classrooms is summarized,including the number of teachers’ questions,the types of teachers’ questions,and other teachers’ classroom questioning.Asking questions to cultivate thinking ability in high school English reading teaching is divided into three parts:before reading,while reading and after reading.At present,there are some problems in the cultivation of students’ thinking,such as the solidification of English readingteaching mode,the lack of creative questions,the shortage of teaching progress,the limitation of teaching materials and the single assessment form.Finally,the paper puts forward the three links of before-reading,while-reading and after-reading,and proposes different ways to cultivate students’ thinking ability,so as to cultivate students’ logical,critical and creative thinking ability.The paper is not only helpful for the next step exploration of the combination of thinking ability guidance and training mode in senior high school English reading teaching,but also provides guidance for the practice teaching of senior high school English teachers.
