With the rapid development of economic globalization and trade internationalization.Business trade between countries in the world has been becoming more frequent and closer.China’s Belt and Road initiative has received positive responses and supports from countries along the Belt and Road.China’s total trade in goods has top ranked in the world.China’s international competitiveness of service trade has been increasing,also has been becoming an important engine for world economic development.Meanwhile,the contribution rate of China to world economic development has exceeded 30%.All of this is dependent on excellent human resources.Those complex English-speaking talents who combine strategic ability,language knowledge,and practical operation skills have become an indispensable resource for China’s international trade.However,Business English teaching in China’s universities faces both good opportunities and major challenges in the new era.Nowadays,some practical issues,such as the ineffectiveness of Business English teaching methods,and out of touch with international trade practices are existed in the teaching methods of Business English.This dissertation aimed to innovate the teaching methods of Business English in China’s universities in the new era from the perspective of holistic education.Promoting the scientific of Business English teaching system and teaching level in China’s universities.Furthermore,cultivating more excellent Business English talents for the country’s economic and social development,and providing strong human resources support for building powerful country and national rejuvenation in the new era.This dissertation was divided into six parts: the first part is introduction,which introduced research background,research meanings,research methods,and innovations.The second part analyzed the concepts and theoretical foundations of the innovative research on the teaching methods of Business English in China’s universities from the perspective of holistic education,which mainly described three concepts of holisticeducation,Business English teaching,and holistic education of Business English.Also,three theoretical foundations were studied,including the theory of holistic education,the theory of human free and all-round development,and the theory of Business English education and teaching.The third part mainly conducted a network questionnaire survey on the real status of Business English teaching methods in China’s universities in the new era.The fourth part analyzed the issues and reasons in the teaching methods of Business English in China’s universities from the perspective of holistic education.Firstly,analyzed the current situation of business English teaching methods based on the questionnaire survey results.For example: “Teacher-centered” unidirectional teaching approach are widespread,oriented alienation of teaching methods,the function of educating students is weakened,homogenization of teaching methods is serious,and lack of exploration and innovation.Secondly,analyzed the reasons for the issues of Business English teaching methods in China’s university from the perspective of holistic education based on curriculum settings,teachers,and students.The fifth part elaborated on the innovation of Business English teaching methods in China’s universities from the perspective of holistic education.For instance,orderliness of innovation in the teaching methods of Business English from the perspective of holistic education,and the Business English teaching method system establishing from the perspective of holistic education in China’s universities in the new era.Chapter six is conclusion part.The achievements and research issues of this dissertation were summaried,moreover,the further research directions were suggested.Overall,the author considered that the innovation of teaching methods in China’s university from the perspective of holistic education is a heavy responsibilities and challenges.There is still a lot of expansion research in this area.The author hopes carry out more depth research in this area with other scholars in the future,in order to train more excellent Business English talents to meet the requirements of building a powerful country and national rejuvenation in the new era.
