Cultural Gender In Contemporary Feminist Art

With the development of postmodern feminism,feminist artists have been deconstructing the differences between genders and began to explore the value of multiple genders,that is,the influence of multiple cultural backgrounds on gender construction.Cultural gender is a kind of cultural construction.It is the re shaping and intervention of culture to social gender that interacts with social gender.It belongs to the category of social gender.It is the active identification of its gender in its own cultural environment and cultural expectation,which varies with time,region and nation.The purpose of cultural intervention is to emphasize people’s multi-cultural identity and the multiple ways of expression of discourse in this identity.Therefore,the involvement of culture in gender makes artists begin to talk about identity,race and individual consciousness,which are closely related to gender issues.They try to create the main position of women with their individual identity.At the same time,their way of looking at problems is no longer a limited female perspective.As independent individuals of society,they constantly reflect on the relationship between women and men,between individuals and society,between feminism and the world,and pay attention to the multiple overlapping effects between culture and gender.This article mainly takes the cultural angle as the entry point to elaborate the cultural gender in the feminist art in four chapters: The first chapter first expounds the concept and wave of feminism art,mainly the third wave that is currently experiencing.Then it explains the related concepts and views of cultural gender that the author understands,and the importance of our understanding of gender in the context of postmodern feminism from a multi-cultural perspective.The second chapter mainly classifies and combs the cultural gender characteristics and performance in feminist art,pays attention to the reconstruction of cultural body and identity,the gender fuzziness of feminist art worksunder the cultural intervention,the independence spirit of feminist art works under the cultural intervention,and explores the current situation that influences the evolution of cultural gender The influence of neutral social background and uncertain gender theory on his creation trend.The third chapter is a reflection on the cultural gender in feminist art,reflecting on whether the expression of gender ambiguity is a mean thinking or a way of gender integration? In the context of post-modern fragmentation,individual return has become the main factor for the decline of gender consciousness.The fourth chapter is about the relationship between personal creation practice and cultural gender.It mainly analyzes the author’s attention to the expression of body symbols in the early stage of creation,the exploration of gender symbols in the later stage and the aesthetic expression in personal works.The aesthetic expression is elaborated from two aspects of the picture form language and working methods.
