Research On Aganmben’s Biopolitics Thought

Giorgio Agamben reintroduced Biopolitics to the world in the 1980 s.Different from the previous interpretation of the "archaeology" perspective,he analyzed the embeddedness of humans from a structural perspective the state of separation in the community of life: laws and the exceptions of laws,and through the interpretation of key concepts such as " Homo Sacer","naked life","state of exception",and "form-of-life",the fundamental crisis of modern democratic politics is revealed : Life is completel y captured in the realm of politics and reduced to an irreducible naked life.Modern politics is a death politics based on naked life.Creating more naked life is the fundamental purpose of modern politics.Agamben traces the concept of "homo sacer" in anc ient Roman law from etymology,and the person who has been double excluded by the secular world and the divine realm(laws and the exceptions of laws)is homo sacer,and the life of homo sacer is the naked life;By absorbing Karl Schmidt ’s“sovereignty paradox” and “exceptional state” theories,Agamben established the logic of sovereignty spread in modern polities;Arendt ’s totalitarianism and discussion of concentration camp issues became his New inspirations when analyzing the crisis of modern democracy.Based on these basic theories,Agamben expressed the political logic of life in his philosophical context:when a regime encounters a crisis of retention due to internal or external disturbances,sovereigns have absolute power to decide whether to suspen d daily judicial regulations In this way,the state is declared into an exceptional state,in which people lose all the protection they should have received and become an irreducible pure naked life exposed to the supreme power.Based on this,Agamben disclosed the fundamental crisis of Western politics and further concluded that everyone is a potential sacred person.Facing this crisis,Agamben made his political philosophical thinking.He called the Messianic "the coming community",and advocated to break the original separation structure of the community through the end of the sovereign state,to stimulate the potential of human thought,and to form a form-of-life inseparable from biological life and political role.This single generalized understanding o f politics deviates from the material conditions and foundations of reality and gives Agamben’s theory a strong utopian color.
