| Based on the study of traditional phonology and the knowledge of sociolinguistics,this thesis uses the speech sounds of Hakka dialect of kuching in sarawak,Malaysia as research object,to study the similarities and differences between Hopo Hakka of Kuching and Hopo Hakka of Jiexi(a county in Jieyang,Guangdong province)where Kuching was originally born,hoping to reveals some characteristics that distinguish the development of overseas Chinese dialects from that of domestic Chinese dialects.The thesis is divided into five chapters.The first chapter is the introduction,which mainly introduces some relevant background and research information about Kuching and Jiexi.The second chapter mainly introduces the phonetic system and characteristics of the Hakka dialect of Kuching and Jiexi,and lists tables of relations between initials、finals and tones of Hopo Hakka dialect in Kuching.The third chapter focuses on the comparative study of the Hopo Hakka’s initials,finals and tones of Kuching and Jiexi.The main differences between Kuching and Jiexi are the initials and the finals.Such as the actual tone value of initial ‘(?)’ pronunciation is close to ‘(?)’,finals borrowed from other languages,such as ?、?n、??,but there are little differences in tones.The fourth chapter mainly focuses on monographic study on the typical distinctive features.Such as the appearance of initial‘b’and the phenomenon of one word with two sounds in Kuching,language contact caused by different language environments is the main reason for these differences.The fifth part is the conclusion,this part mainly summarizes the research contents and explain the inadequacies,and put forward some specific prospects for the study of overseas Chinese dialects.Through investigation and research,the author finds that there are some common characteristics and differences between Hopo Hakka dialect in Jiexi and Kuching.The typical distinctive features reflected by these differences reveal the different features of Chinese dialects in overseas development,which deserves more attention. |
