A Phonetic Study On Hakka Dialect In Guangdong Jiexi

This thesis takes the Hakka phonetics of Jiexi,Guangdong province as the object of study.Based on the first-hand materials obtained through field investigation,this thesis adopts the methods of historical comparison,synchronic comparison,geographic linguistics and so on.This thesis focuses on three research objectives.First,it describes hakka dialect in jiexi hakka dialect in detail to find a breakthrough point for in-depth research.Secondly,the hakka dialect of Jiexi is studied in the context of eastern Guangdong,especially the reasons for the formation of some special phonetic phenomena.Third,based on the work of the first two parts,strive to make accurate segmentation of hakka dialect in Jiexi,which is located in the contact zone of Chaozhou-Shantou and Hakka region in eastern Guangdong.This thesis is divided into five chapters.The first chapter is the introduction,which mainly introduces the construction history and dialect of Jiexi County,and the research status of Jiexi Hakka dialect,the research object,research method,dialect selection and material source of this thesis.The second chapter shows the phonological pattern of Jiexi Hakka dialect.The third chapter makes a detailed description of Jiexi Hakka dialect,sorts out its phonetic overview,and summarizes the relatively special phonetic phenomena and characteristics,which are the entry point of the following thematic research.The fourth chapter is a phonological monograph,which takes diachronic as the longitude,synchrony as the latitude,and geographical linguistics as the perspective,and studies the causes of the special phonological phenomena in the finals and tones of Jiexi Hakka dialect.As far as the final pattern is concerned,it has distinct geographical features and can be divided into two types and three types.There are Shangsha cavity vowels [o],Hepo cavity vowels [a],and Wujingfu cavity vowels [e].As for the Evolution of Rhythm end of Xian(咸)、Shen(深)、Shan(山)、Zhen(臻).The Xian(咸)Shan(山)first took place [m/ p] transformation to [?/k],which showed that the Wujingfu cavity was closer to the Chaozhou-Shantou region.In terms of tone pattern,there are seven tones in upper sand cavity,six tones in Hepo cavity and Wujingfu cavity,and the evolution of upper tone and tone is special.Compared with Hakka dialect in the counties and cities of eastern Guangdong and western Fujian,it is found that Shangsha cavity retains more characteristics of early Hakka dialect,and Wujingfu cavity shares some similarities with Hakka dialect in western Fujian.Based on the above phonetic features,the Shangsha cavity can be clearly divided into the Haifeng-Lufeng Hakka dialect,the Hepo cavity and the Wujingfu cavity into the Longhua sub-dialect.The fifth chapter is the conclusion,which summarizes the phonetic features and research conclusions of Jiexi Hakka,points out that the segmentation of Jiexi Hakka is a assembly of " Haifeng-Lufeng sub-dialect+ Longhua sub-dialect ",and also discusses the shaping role of immigrants to Jiexi Hakka,and points out the deficiencies of this thesis and the future direction of efforts.
