Research On The Art Of Focusing Composition In Chen Hexi’s Paintings And My Creative Practice

The unique expression form of composition art is presented as the common form of art when theorists discuss the modeling form.Expressing one’s own aesthetic characteristics and individuality in the perfect understanding of expressing natural images is also an important means for artists to combine inner experience with real expression to materialize their images.Chen Hexi’s unique composition makes him occupy a place in Chinese image oil painting.This paper will study the presentation form and artistic value of the elements in his works,and discuss the enlightenment to the author’s painting form in the process of research.From the framework of the thesis,first of all,through the literature and related materials,the author explains and analyzes the forms of picture composition in Chen Hexi’s paintings,and at the same time understands the similarities and differences of picture composition in Chen Hexi in different periods and the influencing factors of picture composition.Secondly,for Chen Hexi’s personalized language,it is related to the focused composition from the aspects of simplification of composition structure,flattening of color and geometric representation of objects.The third chapter is to explain the subtle influence of Chen Hexi’s performance techniques and aesthetic thoughts on his graduation creation after his initial attempt in composition and background color making.Especially,the guidance on painting from the aspects of material selection and structure induction makes the author reflect and summarize the hidden problems and loopholes in his creation.In the last chapter,the author narrates the change of painting style of graduate students in the past three years,studies and tries the elements of Chen Hexi’s works in his creation,and slowly explores the painting direction that suits himself with practice.
