Research On The Fault Tolerance Of Chinese Character Design Under The Influence Of Traditional Chinese Character Creation Methods

From ancient times to the present,Chinese characters have always been fault-tolerant,which not only enriches the expression forms of Chinese characters,but also shows the strong tolerance and extensibility of Chinese characters themselves.In the current situation of information overflow,with the continuous improvement of people’s visual perception threshold,the innovative design of Chinese characters is particularly important.Based on this,the research on the fault-tolerant design of Chinese characters is beneficial to enhance the artistic activity of Chinese character design.The essence of the fault-tolerant feature of Chinese characters is based on the relationship between the"errorable" of Chinese character forms and visual recognition under the design thinking of "trial and error".Among them,the reason for the "errorable" Chinese character form needs to be analyzed,and the root of the "trial and error thinking" It remains to be explored,and the degree of "fault tolerance" remains to be defined.This article takes the traditional Chinese character creation method as the starting point,and believes that the fault tolerance of Chinese characters is related to its initial structural form.Then how to trace the origin of the "fault tolerance" of the Chinese character form and define the"degree" of the fault tolerance of Chinese characters under the background of the theory of Liushu character creation.It is the focus of this article to provide a reference basis for future Chinese character fault-tolerant design innovation.This paper draws on the unique design phenomenon of the fault tolerance of Chinese characters in graphic design,and triggers the thinking about the root causes of the fault tolerance of Chinese characters,the"degree" of the fault tolerance of Chinese characters,and the concrete manifestation of the fault tolerance of Chinese characters in modern design.In the research,firstly,the research background of Chinese character fault-tolerant design was sorted out and summarized,combined with the influence of the six-book writing method on Chinese character design and the existence of a large number of Chinese character fault-tolerant phenomena,the research on Chinese character fault-tolerant design was germinated.Second,analyze the performance of Chinese character fault.Tolerance in calligraphy art and Chinese character graphics from the perspective of Liushu characterization,and summarize the influence of Liushu characterization on the"trial and error" design of modern Chinese characters.Thirdly,based on the rules of Chinese character creation,the conditions for achieving "fault tolerance" from "trial and error" are analyzed from the perspective of cognitive psychology and "Gestalt"psychology.And based on modern Chinese character theory,a framework of qualitative analysis and quantitative research has been established.By taking a large number of font designs as examples,qualitative analysis is carried out from the construction of Chinese characters and the comparison with similar designs,and the norms for fault-tolerant design of Chinese characters are sorted out.By taking bold stroke multiples of bold fonts as an example,the relationship between the strokes of the main fonts of Chinese characters and the degree of recognition is quantitatively studied.And on this basis,a practical test and verification was carried out.Fourth,from the perspective of design,taking different types of Chinese character fault tolerance design cases in modern design as objects,analyze and summarize the contemporary expression of Chinese character fault tolerance based on traditional character creation in modern design.Fifth,supplement the constraints and adaptation environment of Chinese character fault-tolerant design.First of all,it is summarized that the three aspects of the structure of Chinese characters,the type of Chinese characters,and the characteristics of the recognition of Chinese characters have brought corresponding objective restrictions.Secondly,analyzing the visual "error correction" and "character group" environment brought by color expands the tolerance of Chinese characters.Sixth,based on the current social environment and design environment,prospect the development direction of Chinese character fault-tolerant design.
