| Chinese language education is not only a prerequisite for students in higher vocational colleges to improve their professional skills and qualities,but also an important way to cultivate students’ abilities and qualities such as humanistic connotations and scientific spirit.However,there is a sharp contrast between the vigorous development of higher vocational education and its Chinese language teaching.In order to meet and even integrate with the development of vocational education,it is necessary to strengthen the reform of Chinese language teaching in higher vocational colleges due to such factors as conservative teaching methods,traditional single teaching modes and separation from professional development.In the face of the particularity of urban rail transit industry,it is a new challenge to make Chinese language education better serve for training rail transit talents with high quality and great skill.Taking the urban rail transit major of Hubei Vocational College of Railway Transportation as an example,this paper studies the improvement strategies of Chinese teaching in higher vocational colleges by using such methods as questionnaire survey,case analysis,interviews with professionals and literature search,combining the practical requirements of students and their future development.It firstly explains the background of urban rail transit industry development,higher vocational education development and Chinese teaching reform,and then investigates and analyzes the current situation of Chinese teaching in Hubei Vocational College of Railway Transportation and the demand of urban rail transit employers for graduates’ Chinese ability.According to its investigation,there are some problems in Chinese teaching in higher vocational colleges,such as relatively outdated teaching ideas,vague teaching objectives,arbitrary teaching content,single teaching and evaluation methods,relatively weak professional ability of teachers,and poor learning effect of students.And the unsatisfactory effect of Chinese teaching is caused by a variety of factors,such as the late start of higher vocational education in China,the lagging educational concept,the shortage of Chinese teaching standards,the lack of incentive mechanism,the quality of teaching staff,and the complex student pool.On the basis of its investigation and analysis,combining with the characteristics of urban rail transit major and the teaching practice of Hubei Railway Transport Vocational College,this paper puts forward the following Chinese teaching reform strategies from the aspects of changing the concept of vocational education,clarifying the Chinese teaching objectives,and integrating into the professional development.First,we should break through the ideological constraints and enhance the concept of vocational education.Second,we should clarify the teaching objectives and follow the future trend of vocational education.Third,we should integrate with professional development and establish a characteristic Chinese curriculum system.Fourth,we should strengthen the construction of teachers and improve the comprehensive quality of Chinese language teachers. |
