A Report On The Creation Of "The Alchemist" Series Of Illustrations

This creation is based on the interpretation of the famous literary work "Shepherd Young Fantasy Journey",also known as "The Alchemist",using etchings combined with watercolor rendering techniques,drawing on the painting styles of plane,decoration,line and childlike interest,through mind mapping and the composition form of permutation and combination,to create a series of illustration works.This series of illustrations is mainly composed of important characters and cultural elements in the plot of the novel.There are a total of seven illustrations,which describe the main stages of the story development.Dream under the FIG tree shows the beginning of the hero’s dream journey in Santiago,the turning point of the dream journey in the crystal house on the top of the mountain,and the adventure and strange encounter in the dream journey in the cross the Sahara."Encounter of a Young Fatima" depicts the beautiful scene when a young man meets his love Fatima.Meet the Alchemist tells the story of Santiago who meets an alchemist and learns the secrets of the soul of the world."Conversation with the World"shows the power of young people after they understand the language of the world.Dream Before the Pyramid follows Santiago as he finally finds the treasure and learns what it means to earn the wealth of his life through the entire dream journey.This report respectively expounds the whole process of creation,including the establishment of creative theme,about the shepherd boy fantasy journey of artistic creation process expression of illustrations and solve specific problems,contain personal creation interest,the series of illustrations creative thinking,data preparation,composition and production process to solve technical problems,the final statement summary and reflection of creation.
