| The rapid advancement of China’s economic and social development and urbanization has given birth to a huge migrant population.Population mobility and migration have become an important feature of the social transformation period in China. As the main force of migrant population with the largest proportion and the best bodily functions, the mental health of migrant youth deserves more attention.Provided in this paper, based on Chinese General Social Survey(CGSS)data set for 2012,2013 and 2015,through the integration of five self-evaluation indicators including mental health and social attitudes,a mental health index is constructed to measure mental health, and the group characteristics and mental health level of migrant youth are statistically analyzed, and then with the aid of spss25.0 software, multiple linear regression model is used to conduct an analysis on the influencing factors of migrant youth’s mental health. The results show the following points.First, the imbalance of the gender structure,in which more men than women, has not been changed; While education is improved, professional skills are still lacking;Frequent job changes and the large has caused instability in life and work;Since the 21st century, the pattern of inter-provincial migration is changing. The majority of migrant youth are in good health, which conforms to the "healthy choice" effect.Labor exploitation has become the norm, and migrant youth’s awareness of labor rights and interests and protection consciousness need to be strengthened; While the income level increases year by year, the migrant youth’s social integration level is still poor and their social status is low.Second, the overall mental health status of the migrant youth is not bad,in the medium level.Although it shows a good direction in the three years, but it is still significantly lower than the local youth mental health level. The migrant experience has had a negative impact on the mental health of the migrant youth, mainly displayed in sense of deprivation and social injustice.Secondly, there is a high degree of heterogeneity within migrant youth, which is related to their personal characteristics, unique migrant experience and post-migrant life style.Third, marital status, family size, whether to participate in medical insurance, type of work unit, working hours,self-reported physical health,Mandarin ability, social activity with your neighbors,self-reported level of family economic conditions, appraise the present social level, temperature in inflow place,GDP in inflow place, and GDP ratio between inflow place and outflow place passed significance test.Based on the effects of all independent variables on mental health, the following conclusions were drawn:(1)physical health has a significant positive effect on mental health.(2)Social support and social security have protective effect on mental health.(3)Compared with economic integration, the higher the level of social integration, the better the psychological health.(4)Those who have high expectations for their work and life after relocation are more likely to have psychological problems due to the gap between ideal and reality.(5)Compared with high temperature and rainy climate, cool and dry climate is more convenient for migrant youth to work and live, which is beneficial to their mental health. The larger the gap between the economic development level of the inflow and outflow areas, the larger the difference of precipitation is,and the more likely it is to bring negative effects on mental health. Finally, based on the above research results, the countermeasures of mental health maintenance are put forward.First, eliminate the segregation of the household registration system and provide social support.Second, actively organize exchanges and communication to promote social integration.Third, carry out job skills training and implement protection of labor rights and interests.Fourth, provide psychological counseling services to prevent mental health problems. |
