| South Korea has produced and released a large number of Korean-Hong Kong co-productions since the release of Love with an Alien in 1958.However,the research on Chinese films in South Korea began in 1980,and it was not until the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and South Korea in 1992 that the research on Chinese films in South Korea showed a trend of continuous attention and development, and its research perspective and application of discipline theory were constantly evolving.Searching for“(?)(Chinese film)" through the Korean database RISS,a total of 9468 related data can be obtained. In this thesis,160 Korean scholars’ studies of Chinese film collected randomly are taken as the research objects, which are summarized and analyzed to find out the main research strategies, reasons, and significance of Korean scholars’ studies in the fields of Chinese film history,Chinese film aesthetics,Chinese film industry and policy development in the past 40 years.Korean scholars have adopted the dynastic history method to study the history of Chinese film.Focusing on three important periods in the history of Chinese film, they mainly discussed the role of "Shanghai Films" and "Left-wing Films" in the construction of urban memory and the ideological distinction phenomenon in the first industrial period of Chinese film in the 1930s,the political function of the Chinese films in the 1950s,the diversity of the memory reshaping of the "Cultural Revolution" films and the exploration of the subject and identity of the films in the reform and opening period. The research on Chinese film aesthetics can be divided into five aspects:research on the interaction of literature and film, film narrative structure and image-building in film cross-media production;genre research on martial arts films, female films, and main melody films;intergenerational research;famous director research and Chinese minority film research.Through these five aspects,Korean scholars interpreted the realistic expression and national sentiments of Chinese films. The research on the Chinese film industry and policy focuses on the changes of industry and policy, censorship, and Law of the People’s Republic of China on the Promotion of the Film Industry, aiming at providing strategies for Korean films to enter the Chinese film market. After analysis,it can be seen that the number of Korean scholars’studies of Chinese films has gradually increased since the 21st century, and they tend to study film history, film aesthetics, and the film industry.Korean scholars’ research on Chinese movies covers a comprehensive range in both horizontal and vertical directions, but there are also problems such as more homogenization research and lack of comparative research. Therefore,we hope that future research on Chinese film can break through the limitations of the existing studies from the perspective of interdisciplinary and diversified research,so as to provide inspiration and support for the development of Chinese and Korean films. |
