A Study On The Development Path Of Chinese Films In The Perspective Of "East Asia Film Center"

Recently, the Film Industry in China is developing rapidly, just like the caramel popcorn, exuding a sweet aroma. Financiers, project developers, even the Internet giant are glaring at China’s film market covetously; a large number of overseas funds, personnel and technology is coming to China; a series of CO production films emerge in an endless stream, not only in the domestic also in the International Film Festival Award. The Chinese market has become the world’s fastest growing film market, and is far from reaching saturation.The research is coming under such an opportunity. It is started from the influence of Chinese film background and the interrelationship of East Asian countries, also from the development of the industry of origin, representative works and the effect of the specific aspects, tend to clarify the relationship between the Chinese film and the background times, and to clarify its growth in fuzzy path. The research depends on test of communication studies, political science, East Asian culture etc. to relate fields of old study, East Asian political and economic climate change, would like to find out the current Chinese film development trend.Since 1896, film was introduced into China. At the beginning of twentieth Century, the Chinese film has repeatedly been pushed to unprecedented prosperity. At that time, Hong Kong and Shanghai, respectively became the representative of the Chinese film. And they had the ability to affect the direction of the East Asian Film circle. The two cities used to have their own strengths in the movie nationalism and consumerism, as a kind of popular culture spread to overseas work.From the beginning of the development of Chinese film, Shanghai and Hong Kong have won the honor of the " East Hollywood". In this paper proved that they worth the honor by two aspects: the Chinese film of inner strength(industrial scale, professional talents, etc.) and the external influence(the box office performance, awards, etc.). When reducing the history of the development of the two city’s film industry, the causes of the "East Asian Film Center could be explored: 1) climatic conditions: political and economic environment; 2) soil foundation: similar East Asian cultural origin, rich urban cultural background; 3) factors of the activity of: a collection of specialized personnel, accurate grasp of the audience; 4) growth system: standardization of industry operation, suitable system and modeFinally, this study analysis the possibility of China create "East Asia Film Center, and puts forward some suggestions for the Chinese film: 1)to understand China’s film objectively, including accepting Chinese movie’s history and understanding of the attribute of film; 2) both sides should work together, including raising the professional personnel in the film industry and to cultivate the overall quality of the audience; 3) to improve the quality of film products; 4) specificat film market and regulation, including film distribution and projection market and standardize the movie regulatory system.
