| In the information age,education informationization is the way of education modernization.In China’s Education Modernization 2035,it is pointed out that education reform in the information age should be accelerated to build intelligent campuses.During the Covid-19 epidemic in 2020,the online teaching for "school suspension" across the country vigorously promoted the development of information-based education,which brought profound changes to education.After the outbreak of comprehensive teaching practice of online teaching,related research has become the domestic research hit.However,as the online teaching was widely caught sight of only for a short period of time,research on specific disciplines of specific study phrase is not rich,and study of teaching problems is mainly based on personal experience in practice,lacking systematic investigation and analysis.All these give this study space to explore.Therefore,after six months of online teaching practice during the quarantine time,the study focuses on the online teaching of English in high school,with an analysis of status quo of online teaching and the analysis of existing problems,putting forward specific suggestions,to improve the teaching of high school English online and provide reference for subsequent research.By reviewing related literature,on the basis of English online teaching practice,this study has combined quantitative with qualitative research,and has conducted a questionnaire survey about engagement,satisfaction,and the existing problems of online teaching aimed at 175 students from 6 classes.Four teachers and ten students involved have been further interviewed on the situation and existing problems of online teaching.The results show that high school students have good participation in online English teaching.Students can complete preview,attend class on time,join in interaction,take tests and complete homework regularly.Students’ satisfaction with online teaching is also affirmed,and they are willing to continue to take part in online teaching.Besides the average learning efficiency,they are satisfied with the learning autonomy,learning atmosphere and interactive communication of online teaching.Moreover,there is a strong positive correlation between students’ engagement in online teaching and their satisfaction with online teaching.The satisfaction with learning efficiency,with autonomy and with learning atmosphere is also significantly correlated positively with the overall satisfaction of online teaching.The problems of online teaching mainly lie in the aspects of interactive communication and learning supervision,and there exist problems of low learning efficiency,lack of concentration,backward network equipment and teaching platform.Based on this,three teaching suggestions are put forward:independent learning ability is to be cultivated and students’ subjectivity is to be enhanced;the interactive communication is to be enriched with the help of information technology;online teaching resources are to be integrated and teaching evaluation is to be optimized. |
