Research On The CPC’s Takeover Of The Old Labor Union In Jiujiang City(1949-1950)

As a bridge and link between the CCP and the masses of workers,the labor union has always been highly valued by the CCP.After the liberation of Jiujiang,the CCP immediately established a military management committee to take over the city.The takeover of the old labor union was an important part of this work.In response to the requirements of restoring and developing the city’s economy and supporting front-line warfare,the Jiujiang City Military Management Committee and the Municipal Federation of Trade Unions Preparatory Committee,in accordance with the labor union work policy determined by the central government,rely on the southward cadres and worker activists dispatched by the central government,combined with the specific circumstances of Jiujiang The work of taking over the old union of Jiujiang City was carried out in an orderly manner.Workers’ trust in the CCP and their enthusiasm for production have a direct impact on economic recovery and the completion of front-line support tasks.Therefore,the CCP attaches great importance to the work of taking over the old labor unions in Jiujiang City,especially Jiujiang,which has a large number of workers.More attention has been paid to the takeover of the wharf,Nanxun Railway and the old union of Xingzhong Spinning Factory.In view of this,this article focuses on the takeover work of the old unions in these three industries.Although the situation of the old trade unions in the three industries is different,the wharf mainly solves the old system and labor issues,the Nanxun Railway aims to restore railway traffic,and the Xingzhong Spinning Factory solves labor relations issues,but the overall takeover process is basically similar.,That is,first send a working group to investigate and understand the situation,secondly solve the outstanding problems,and finally unite labor and management to develop production.Through the takeover process of the old trade unions in the above three industries,we can see the path and method of the CCP’s takeover of the old trade unions in Jiujiang City.In the process of taking over,issues such as the work of cadres,the relationship between the union and the administration,the relationship between the staff and the workers,and the labor-management relationship emerged,as well as the struggle against the old union members.By solving these problems and launching struggles,the CCP has promoted the in-depth implementation of various takeovers and laid the foundation for the establishment of new trade union organizations in the future.After the initial takeover,the CCP properly arranged the old union staff,further developed members and activists,and gradually established a new union organization.By solving the problem of feudal gangs,carrying out cultural and educational work such as amateur study classes,workers’ weekly lectures,running blackboard newspapers and posters,and organizing various recreational activities,the CCP has realized the education and reshaping of workers,making them a new regime that meets the requirements of the new regime.worker.In short,the CCP adhered to the workers’ standpoint and the requirements of both labor and capital in the takeover of the old trade union in Jiujiang City,and timely summarized and adjusted the problems in the takeover,which ensured the smooth progress of the takeover work and realized the union and workers’ transition from the"old".The transformation to "new" promoted the economic recovery and development of Jiujiang City.
