construct her own cyborg’s body concept.Haraway strives to break through the boundaries of the existing world, break the deep-rooted dualistic thinking mode in traditional theories, question the fanatical pursuit of "primitive unity" in traditional ontological philosophy, and challenge the status of absolute truth and subject through this new body theory. This paper combs through the evolution history of body discourse from Plato in Western philosophical thought, clarifies the theoretical background of Haraway’s cyborg body concept, elaborates on the ideological connotation of Haraway’s cyborg body concept.Starting from the relationship between the body view, body aesthetics,post-modern feminism, this article explores the cross-border and influence of Haraway’s cyborg body concept. In addition to the introduction, this thesis is divided into three chapters. The first chapter mainly introduces the origin of cyborg’s body concept. In the current fields of philosophy, technology, and culture, the term "cyborg" has a high frequency of appearances. From medical treatment to architecture, from movies to games, more and more fields are branded as "cyborg".But when the term "cyborg" was born,it was inextricably linked with "body".Starting from Plato and Aristotle, this chapter explores the body concept of representative philosophers and thinkers from ancient philosophy to modern philosophy, and then to post-modern philosophy.Through combing,it is found that Haraway’s cyborg body concept has rebellious and dispelling significance to the ontological consciousness and dualistic thinking formed in ancient and modern western philosophy. At the same time,it is precisely on the theoretical basis of postmodern thinkers that Haraway constructed her own cyborg body concept. The second chapter discusses in detail the ideological connotation of her cyborg body concept. In Haraway’s cyborg theory, the discourse of "body" always occupies an important position, and it contains extremely rich cultural metaphors. In cyberspace, body discourse gradually deviates from the discourse mode of physical and mental opposition, and the body is no longer just a simple human body or body.It is the main place where the cyborg subject can be constructed in the post-human era.According to Haraway, the pre-postmodern world is a world full of borders and categories. In the cyborg era,our bodies have never been as firmly demarcated as we hoped, and information flows between pixels,silicon-based materials, and carbon-based molecules. In the process of interaction and flow, our bodies are opened, and the boundaries between humans and animals, organisms and machines, physical and non-physical states are broken through coding, and an integrated view of the body is created.Haraway emphasized the co-evolution between humans and machines, and she also proposed the concept of "companion species".Whether it is symbiosis or accompaniment,it means flow and dynamics, and the body is no longer a rigid body, but becomes a dynamic existence in a relationship with an unclear nature. In addition,Haraway emphasizes that nature, truth, and human beings are all constructed, not inborn. She hopes to create a brand new cyborg subject through the deconstruction of the myth of the absolute self-sufficient subject. This kind of cyborg subject that pays attention to splitting and reorganizing actually heralds a selflessness view of the body. The third chapter mainly discusses the cross-border and influence of Cyborg body concept. The integrated, dynamically generated, and selflessness body concept emphasized by Haraway is a theoretical extension from the perspective of postmodernism. It is in the context of postmodernism that supports heterogeneity and diversification,The cyborg body concept shows us a unique vision of body aesthetics and feminist perspective. The cyborg body concept and body aesthetics both emphasize a living body experience. The widespread use of cyborg technology will change our aesthetic activities and form a new aesthetic paradigm. The arrival of the cyborg Age has enriched the meaning of body aesthetics on the one hand, but also brought new challenges to body aesthetics. As one of the representative figures of postmodern feminism,Haraway, from the perspective of the body, uttered the cry of "I would rather be a cyborg than a goddess".She emphasized a kind of "knowledge in context",hoping to challenge the traditional "gender identity paradigm" and "sex-gender system",and establish a cyberspace that can deconstruct the maze of binary oppositions,super-gender,and not governed by patriarchy feminist politics. | | Keywords/Search Tags: | Donna J.Haraway, Cyborg Body Concept, Somaesthetics, Cyborg Feminist Politics | PDF Full Text
