Research And Innovative Design Of Bronze Mirror Decoration In Song And Xia Dynasties

Bronze mirror is one of the bronzes,which is a necessity of daily life.The development and changes of the patterns of bronze mirrors reflect the changes of social life at that time.The patterns on the back of the mirrors are rich,and the inscriptions on the back of the mirrors often clearly reflect the place of production and trade names.It is of great research value both from the perspective of history and from the perspective of art.In the period of Liao,Song,Xia and Jin,the bronze mirrors were elegant and beautiful,and some new types of mirrors and new patterns appeared.The patterns on the back of the mirrors were mostly left blank,and single line drawing became the main decoration technique at that time.With the help of the existing bronze mirror images during the Song and Xia dynasties,this paper first analyzes the cultural connotation of the bronze mirror in the song and Xia dynasties,the reasons for the development and change of the copper mirror patterns,and the reasons for the formation of the era style.Secondly,it analyzes the characteristics of the representative bronze mirrors at this time,and explores the relationship between the composition of the bronze mirror and the theme of the copper mirror patterns.The influence of copper production,producing areas,prohibition systems and social life on the art of bronze mirrors at this time,and the reasons for the slow development of the art of bronze mirrors at this time is discussed.Then the aesthetics embodied in the pattern of bronze mirrors is explored,and the influence of the pattern style of bronze mirrors on later generations is discussed from the perspective of art.Finally,through the analysis of the patterns of bronze mirrors in the Song and Xia dynasties,typical patterns are extracted and redesign.It is expected that traditional patterns and modern design will be combined through innovative design practice.
