| As we all know,the mention of surrealist painting begins with the artistic features of its dreamlike subconscious automatism,which happens to be remembered as a symbol.Surrealist painting originated in France and began in the first World War,when the post-war European economy has shown a recession.People’s lives are plunged into dire straits,resulting in no hope for future life,and the entire society is shrouded in a haze of world-weariness and pessimism.In this context,artists began to evade reality,deny everything,try to escape from the cruelty and sorrow of reality,and pursue dreams that do not exist.Surrealism emerged as the times require to occupy the dominant position of art development,and in the 20th century it has been continuously developed and prosperous.In the history of western art development,it has also left many immortal masterpieces by painting giants and masters.Surrealist painting is one of the language expression forms of art painting at home and abroad.As time goes by,concepts are constantly undergoing major changes.Through an in-depth study of the formal language symbolic features of surrealist painting,from the perspectives of the social background and living environment of the surrealist painting artists,the main representatives of the genre in different periods,the creative characteristics and the real life environment background,the author interprets their most representative surrealist paintings,explains the application and artistic characteristics of psychological phenomena such as dreams and subconscious in the field of surrealist art,and accurately grasps and clarifies the artistic style of surrealist painting through her own practice.It is hoped that this paper will be helpful to explore the development of language symbols in surrealism painting,so that we can have a more comprehensive and in-depth understanding of the characteristics of surrealist painting form language symbols,promoting surrealist painting trend toward diversification. |
