| The opera, which originated from the folk, has gone through a long and complicated process of literatiization. When literati and scholars paid attention to and participated in the creation of this simple, fresh, and authentic literary genre, the fate of literati in opera began slowly.Specifically, the participation of literati in opera creation began in the Yuan Dynasty. At that time, the status of intellectuals was low,and they had to rely on writing scripts to make ends meet. And it became apparent in the Ming Dynasty when literati and scholars participated in the deepening of the work.In the early and mid-Qing Dynasty, with the imperial court’s promotion of serious literary style and people’s recognition of the status of opera, the degree of literatiization of opera works reached a peak and became a common phenomenon in the literary world.Among the many works with different features, the "Peach Blossom Fan" created by Kong Shangren,a descendant of Confucius born in the Qing Dynasty,is undoubtedly a representative work of literati with very individual characteristics and exemplary significance. The thesis takes "Peach Blossom Fan" as the research object, mainly divided into four chapters to study the characteristics of his literati writings. The first chapter mainly explores Kong Shangren’s unique literati identity.First of all,he has the dual identity of a literati and a bureaucrat. He not only likes to write poems and hold banquets, but also has the ambition to benefit the people. He is tired of heavy government affairs and admires the comfortable life of a hermit. As a result, both advance and retreat have lost their direction, showing a deviation between the literati status and political demands in the realization of the ideal of life;secondly,he is a survivor writer who grew up in the Shunzhi new dynasty where ethnic contradictions are gradually easing. He has deep feelings for Emperor Kangxi and Ming Dynasty. He not only has a strong feeling of gratitude to the Emperor Kangxi, but also a strong feeling of closeness to the elders who did not serve in the Qing court. In emotion and thought,it presents a contradictory state of "loyalty to the emperor" and "mourning for the Ming".This part mainly discusses three parts: an overview of Kong Shangren’s identity as a literati,Kong Shangren’s life-the Confucian scholar-officials who have lost ground and retreat, and Kong Shangren’s friendships-the potential growth of survivors’ emotions. The second chapter mainly explores the literati complex and literati mentality revealed in the text of "Peach Blossom Fan".Putting "Peach Blossom Fan" in the context of literary tradition,by combing some typical complexes and aesthetic concepts possessed by literati,it mirrors the text of "Peach Blossom Fan",and trying to explore the mentality of a generation of literati. This part discusses from five aspects: the pursuit of Taoyuan hermit complex, the dual attitude to the celebrity love complex, the selection of historical themes and the literati’s preference for history, the pursuit of deep creative connotation and the ethical indoctrination tendency of literati works, and the character image of Li Xiangjun reflects Of literati’s attitude towards women. The third chapter mainly explores the literati’s creative work style in the artistic technique of the literati work "Peach Blossom Fan"."Peach Blossom Fan" shows the spirit of literati’s pursuit of innovation.Among the many well-crafted and unconventional literati dramas,"Peach Blossom Fan" presents unique creative characteristics. This part discusses the ingenuity of the structure, the historical features of the language, and the use of irony. The fourth chapter mainly explores the relationship between the dissemination of "Peach Blossom Fan" and the characteristics of literati. This part discusses from three aspects: the reading audience is a group of literati, the performance of "Peach Blossom Fan" in Qing Dynasty, and the obvious tendency of written writing. |
