| Charlotte Bronte’s Jane Eyre is an immortal masterpiece in the history of English literature.It has shaped the first female image in the history of English literature who took an independent and positive attitude towards love,life,society and religion and dared to struggle for freedom and equality.Since the mid-19 th century,its influence has been almost all over the cultural fields such as comics,TV dramas,movies,dramas,etc.In the world,there have been more than 30cross-text adaptations of Jane Eyre,which reflect social,economic,historical and cultural issues,which are of great research value.This article mainly to the "Jane eyre" four content adaptation American film director Robert Stevenson(1944,1983 British director Julian,Amy andreas drama works,2006 British director suzanne white TV works,2011 American director Carey fuyong film)as the main research object.On the intertextuality theory,image theory and narrative theory as the theoretical basis,respectively from the social cultural context,political ideology,the characteristics of different media medium,and across the text adaptation of the value point of view,on the theme of the four subjects,characters,analyzing the narrative strategies,to explore the hidden in the text after the adaptation of logic and realistic significance.The first chapter,as the theoretical basis,mainly introduces the theoretical characteristics of intertextuality theory,image turn theory and narrative theory,as well as their applications in the process of cross-text adaptation.The second chapter studies the different narrative and communication characteristics of text and video,mainly from the perspectives of diachronic and synchronic,narration and display,communication forms and interactivity,and puts forward the differences in narrative and communication characteristics of the two different media,as well as the impact of these differences on cross-text adaptation.The third chapter compares each text from the theme,and Jane Eyre presents many issues such as love,human dignity and feminism.The 1944 version of Jane Eyre completely abandoned the original "spiritual core" and persuaded women to return to their families,making full ideological and political preparation for the surge of men returning home after World War II.The 1983 version was influenced by the conservative political party and feminism.Although the story plot and lines were highly consistent with the original work,the film was still not divorced from the theme expression of the patriarchal society through careful analysis of audio-visual language.The 2006 version has the female director Suzanne White guidance,the first time in the audio-visual language to give Jane Eyre enough feminist respect,this is also a true original spiritual core of the adaptation work;Continuing the theme of feminism in 2006,Hollywood’s film version in 2011 made meaningful innovations in audio-visual language and shooting methods.The fourth chapter mainly starts from the character image,chooses "Jane Eyre","Rochester" and "Bertha Mason" three characters with distinctive characteristics,analyzes the personality similarities and differences between the three characters under different themes,media and contexts,as well as the deep meaning of these similarities and differences.Fifth chapter mainly analyze the narrative strategy between different text,from three aspects of person,viewpoints,and plot,first person,as a result of themes of different viewpoints and the change of the plot,the second movie,TV series,as different media,deletion or omission of some plot across text adaptation,choice of sequential adjustment and differentiation.This article through to the novel "Jane eyre" and derivative text across the text study found that both the novel art or film and TV art,they are the product of specific cultural background,in the expression of lens language,theme and characters on the shape of all and the artistic medium,director of the subjective will and ideology is intimately involved.Therefore,in the process of cross-text adaptation,especially the adaptation of classic works,we should correctly handle the complex relations between history and reality,objectivity and subjectivity,original work and script,text and image and so on,and constantly develop from the respect,compromise and innovation of original work. |
