With the development of information technology,VR technology has been widely used in various fields such as games,education,medical treatment,film and television,and a wave of VR boom has emerged in the world.Since 2015,VR documentaries have been gradually popularized and become a brand new choice for audiences to enjoy film and television works.As a unique form of documentary,VR documentary has broken the traditional documentary in the artistic technique of expression,past shooting scale,frame of audio-visual language would have disappeared,has also been a serious challenge in traditional film narrative logic,cannot adapt to VR documentary new development requirements,together with the line of sight of the audience is no longer controlled by the director,how to under this premise,To ensure that the important content of the film will not be missed,these need us to carry out new exploration and research.This paper is divided into six parts.The first part is the introduction.The author first explains the development background of VR documentaries in recent years and summarizes the current research status.At the same time,the author uses literature research method,case analysis method,comparative research method and practice summary method to complete the research of the subject.Finally,the author elaborates the research significance and innovation points of this paper.The second part is the audio-visual language of VR documentary.Most traditional film and television audio-visual language is hard to apply in VR documentary,the author through reading a large number of literature and creative field,and combined with related film,tried to fixed lens in the VR documentary,long,panoramic view scene scheduling and dolby sound describes this four parts,to analyze its characteristics and artistic expression,and design method is put forward.The third part is the narration of VR documentary.The development of traditional documentary is based on film at first,so it is more inclined to film in terms of narrative.The narrative space of VR documentary is changed from two-dimensional to panoramic,and interactive elements are added at the same time.The limited duration of the film also makes it difficult to realize the narration for a long time.In this case,how to make the narrative of the film can tell a good story,the author thinks that we can compare and draw lessons from the narrative methods of the drama,and get some inspiration from it.The fourth part,VR documentary line of sight guide.VR documentaries break through the restrictions of traditional film and television frames.Audiences can see a 360-degree panoramic picture and freely choose the content to watch according to their interests.How to make the key content of the film not be skipped by the audience? Based on the relevant knowledge of film and television psychology,the author believes that the audience can be guided in sight from four perspectives:sound,color,movement and suggestive picture.The fifth part is the future prospect of VR documentaries.With the increasing spiritual and cultural needs of people,VR documentaries will definitely play an important role in giving play to cultural values.At the same time,this chapter discusses the future development trend of VR documentaries with the continuous development of 5G technology and computer technology.The sixth part is the creation of VR documentary Red Memory.The appendix one is based on certain theoretical research,the author personally participated in the creation of the large-scale VR documentary Red Memory shot by Shandong Radio and Television Station,which is a summary of the acquired experience.
