A Study On Confucian Moral Thoughts In The Pre-Qin Dynasty And Its Time Value

Since ancient times,the Chinese nation has paid attention to the internal moral cultivation of the individual itself.In the "University",it is mentioned that from the gentleman to the common people,all people need to cultivate themselves.Since the 18 th National Congress of the Communist Party of China,General Secretary Xi Jinping has quoted famous theories such as "My day and my body","I think about the virtuous,and self-examine when I see the bad" in many conference speeches,as well as in his writings.For example,it is advocating to carry out the requirements of "three stricts and three reals" education activities among cadres,which puts "strict to self-cultivation" in the first place,and emphasizes the important position of self-cultivation as the basic political quality of party members and cadres.The report of the 19 th National Congress of the Communist Party of China pointed out that the pre-Qin Confucian selfcultivation thought as a traditional culture is beneficial to improve people’s moral cultivation and help build harmonious interpersonal relationships.But at present,material development is rapidly expanding,citizens’ moral cultivation is insufficient,and spiritual realm needs to be improved urgently.Pre-Qin Confucian thoughts on selfcultivation contain rich ways of standing up and being in the world,inheriting and promoting it in the new era can make the material civilization and spiritual civilization of our society progress together.This article focuses on the theme of pre-Qin Confucian self-cultivation thoughts,mainly from the following five parts:The first part: Introduction.This part mainly describes the background and significance of the thesis’ s topic selection,research ideas and methods,innovations and deficiencies of the thesis,and summarizes the current research status of pre-Qin Confucian thoughts on self-cultivation at home and abroad.The second part: The background and ideological basis of the formation of preQin Confucian thoughts on self-cultivation are discussed in detail,which is the prerequisite for understanding the pre-Qin Confucian thoughts on self-cultivation.The third part: Taking the origin of the word "cultivation" as a starting point,it briefly summarizes the pre-Qin Confucian self-cultivation thoughts and analyzes how the pre-Qin Confucian self-cultivation thoughts were inherited and developed.In addition,it condensedly summarized its characteristics as the contradiction between ideal and reality,the unity of individual and society,and the unity of inward and outward,to lay the foundation for the content and value of the following article.The fourth part:As the focus of this article,the main content of the pre-Qin Confucian self-cultivation thought is demonstrated from the three dimensions of goal,content and method.Through the combination of learning and thinking,focusing on practice,and inward self-cultivation methods,we can accumulate the way to stand in the world,and then achieve the value pursuit of becoming a saint and a virtuous person and a king.The fifth part: After examining the pre-Qin Confucian self-cultivation thought from the current perspective,the focus is on the discussion of the value of the era,so that it can serve the improvement of personal moral quality in the new era.It plays a role in leading the pursuit of value,enhancing the noble realm of the world,strengthening the awareness of being cautious and independent,promoting the habit of learning and thinking and promoting the practical spirit of practice.
