The development and evolution of ancient Chinese literati landscape painting rely onhumanity value orientation,however the track of creation is inseparable with theorientation of the explore of spirit and on basis of language experiment.Self-restrictionspirit of literati in meditation is the process in cultural context’s fusion of mind andlanguage,which is not only real but also with meaning and pureness originality,what’smore it has independent personality and national cultural identity.The special creationway of expressing both meaning and mind of Chinese landscape painting has profoundhumanity self-cultivation emotion,which is to let literati’s own spirit and creation talentfully express through ink expressing meaning and mind,even talk with people byopen-mind and honest attitude.Rise of literati painting firstly because of political naturechange of society that literati was in,and consequent change of literati’s ideology,whichconsciously or unconsciously lead to the change in literati’s art thinking mode influencedby Confucianism,Taoism and Buddhism Thought,and which embody consistent qualityand feature with this three thought in statement of Chinese painting theory.Because therepresentation of self-cultivation in ancient Chinese literati Landscape painting alwaysaccompanies traditional literati painter’s conscious human care and cultural change,theirself-restriction in cultural ethics connects the development in temperament and theoreticalsignificance in emotional support in literati landscape painting.The representation of itsself-cultivation is always inseparable with Confucian cultivation of self-cultivation.Theirthought of self-cultivating and self-facing is in accord with the thought of having own lifeand all the objects in the universe indiscrete and Buddha’s action criterion of gradualcultivating and introspection.So its inkbrush meaning represents the unity of sense andemotion.Three religion’s blending spirit of Buddhism to cultivate mind,Taoism tocultivate body and Confucian to cultivate society has already throughout their worldoutlook and art conception and deeply influenced the development of ancient Chineseliterati painting.The thesis tries to excavate ancient traditional literati painter’sself-cultivation spirit from literati landscape painting’s image,contrast by heteronomy multiple angles,and by tridimensional thought and study of excellent ancient Chineseliterati painting’s essence,and know the close relationship between literati painter’s mindand language and mutual effect,which have special cultural connotation and realisticsignificance in comprehending the creation of Chinese painting consciously.Discussingself-restriction’s theoretical study,carding traditional literati landscape painting’s law ofdevelopment,excavating and pioneering art creation’s own spirit from the art practice ofChinese landscape painting are the emphases of this thesis.
