Research On WeChat Compliments And Teaching Suggestions

The use of compliments is one of the important means to adjust information in speech and communication.Previous studies mainly focused on the form and use strategies of compliments,but we found that compliments in We Chat conversation have the characteristics of new format and multiple functions.Observing and analyzing from the perspective of communication and interaction can better discover and understand the functions and development trends of compliments.At the same time,more and more Chinese learners are entering China’s network environment,and it takes them some time to understand the form,meaning and use situation of compliments in We Chat conversation.Therefore,this paper holds that compliments in We Chat conversation need to be paid attention to by Chinese teaching researchers besides being included in the scope of interactive linguistics.On the basis of previous studies,this paper attempts to define the concept of compliments under We Chat discourse system,analyze the attitude resources and evaluation format of We Chat compliments,understand the overall usage of We Chat compliments,and pay attention to the discourse function of We Chat compliments.Finally,it puts forward teaching suggestions of We Chat compliments from the perspective of Chinese teaching.This paper is divided into six parts: The first part summarizes the previous studies on "compliments",as well as the theoretical basis,research methods and corpus sources of this paper.The second part analyzes the We Chat discourse system from the perspectives of discourse subject,discourse purpose,discourse space,discourse mode and discourse style,and defines the concept of We Chat compliments under this system.From the third part to the fifth part,according to the attitude resources in the evaluation system,the compliments in We Chat conversation discourse system are classified,and then the evaluation format and discourse function of compliments are analyzed.In the sixth part,this paper discusses the Chinese teaching suggestions of We Chat compliments,hoping to be helpful to the Chinese teaching of compliments.
