To be a supplement to the general research method of literary history,it is the theory foundation of the literary reception research.With the help of the research method,the problem that this article wants to solve is quite clear: one is to realize the clarification and recognition of Bing Xin’s literary image from the investigation of the reception history of Bing Xin’s literary image;the second is to realize the benefit of general literary history research.Compared with general literature history research,the research object of this thesis has shifted from writers and works to readers."A thousand readers,two Bing Xin" is a valid statement for the history of Bing Xin’s acceptance in the 20 th century.Returning to the specific historical scene,in the synchronic perspective,readers’ acceptance of aesthetic Bingxin and political Bingxin expressed different historical desires based on different "present" literary interests.So from a diachronic point of view,these readers connected two "special(historical)" reception history contexts in the Croce sense one after another.These two special history contexts are fundamentally important to the reception history of Bing Xin in the 20 th century.In the first part of the thesis,a comprehensive review of the acceptance history of Aesthetic Bingxin takes four steps.First,it presents the historical context of aesthetic Bingxin’s construction.This is also the main work of the first part.Based on the historical characteristics of the phases,while focusing on presenting the contextual connection,it is divided into four periods: 1.In the early 1920 s,readers of the "Novel Monthly" had a concentrated and enthusiastic discussion on the aesthetic image of Bing Xin.2.From the 1920 s to the 1930 s,cultural celebrities and literary histories were generous with praise and initially established the classic status of Bing Xin’s aesthetic image;3.After the 1980 s,Aesthetic Bingxin returned to readers’ reading text and went to deepen;4.Due to the historical adjustment of the literary geographical space,the readers of Aesthetic Bingxin dispersed to regions outside the mainland in the 1950 s,opening a period of traveling abroad for the construction of Aesthetic Bingxin,which is also the most tortuous place in the history of aesthetic Bingxin’s acceptance.Then,at a synchronic level,it concentrates on analyzing the common factors of aesthetic Bingxin’s construction of discourse.Whether it is readers’ attention to emotional images and artistic styles,intuitive impressionistic criticism,or the imagination of the independent spiritual world,they are actually revealing readers’ literary expectations of pure literature.Readers read literature by the angle of literature.Next,on the basis of the aforementioned work,a path to examine the history of literature is opened through readers.Bing Xin’s aesthetic reading history connects the pure literary reading history of readers in the 20 th century.Pure literature may not be a literary fact in the general field of literary history,but it was a clear way to accept literature for readers.The pure literary concept was never the highest pursuit of literature in the reader’s vision,but the lowest.In the conflict with the utilitarian literary concept,the continuous presence of pure literary readers objectively acted as a check and balance,and promoted the integration and deepening of modern literature.This was the importance of the continuous presence of pure literary readers.Finally,in line with the current literary concerns,it summarizes and recognizes Bing Xin’s aesthetic image.On the one hand,in the discussion of Bing Xin’s general aesthetic image in the 20 th century,Bing Xin’s stylistic creation was the most stable factor.There is still room for discussion on emotional image and artistic structure.On the other hand,from the connection of Bing Xin’s aesthetic image reading history,we can find that the breaking meaning of Bing Xin’s early and late works is not so thorough.The transition from “quiet” to “enthusiastic” aesthetics is not only an effective generalization of Bing Xin’s creative path,but also allows us to see that modern and contemporary literature is not only a break,but also a hidden aesthetic connection between them.If saying the readers of Aesthetic Bingxin not only constructed Bingxin ’ s aesthetic image,but also expressed concern for the development of the literary discipline in the 20 th century,the readers of Political Bingxin,to a certain extent,surpassed the limitations of the vision of literary unity,or in other words,their literary expectation showed the readers’ true perception of the fate of national literature in the20 th century.As another special comprehensive review of the history of acceptance,the second part of the thesis is basically symmetrical in structure with the first part.First,it constructs the political context of Bing Xin’s acceptance,which is divided into three historical stages based on historical characteristics: 1.Around 1930,it coincided with the revolutionary literary propositions.The left-wing professional readers represented by Mao Duns and A Ying showed a different reading attitudes of Bing Xin.This is a phenomenon of lagging acceptance;2.After 1949,readers’ acceptance in this period was entirely centered on Mao Zedong’s writings in various periods and his current political opinions,so it was dominated and participated by political authority.3.After 1980 s,readers’ acceptance of political Bingxin had a richer connotation,constantly enriching and embellishing the identity of Bing Xin ’ s political idol,and continuing to ferment,which won Bing Xin a lofty literary reputation.Then,through an in-depth analysis of the reading discourse of the readers of Political Bingxin,we can discover its distinctive characteristics: in the enthusiasm for the social reality of China in the 20 th century,and because of the most advanced scientific methods,readers often hold such an attitude——Their reading method is the most scientific,and it seems that there is no need for other literary acceptance methods.It will even reveal the reading tendency of substituting scientific elements for literary aesthetic elements.In other words,there is a certain degree of divergence between the literary acceptance attitudes of the political Bingxin recipients and the aesthetic Bingxin recipients.Then,from the disclosure of the expectation horizon of the utilitarian literature of the political Bingxin recipients,clues to the utilitarian reading history of readers in the 20 th century also emerged.In the utilitarian reading of literature,several generations of modern intellectuals had placed their demands on social modernity,and political utilitarianism has become one of the birth attributes of new literature.It is not natural that Chinese literature should be broad and profound,but new literature is naturally profound.The intellectuals’ literary commitment to the national reality of blood and tears had been witnessed.The life expectation of readers in the 20 th century had a more decisive influence on the acceptance of literature;Even readers who promote pure literary consciousness,cannot escape the logic of social modernity appeals,which most profoundly illustrates the utilitarian expectations of readers in the 20 th century for literature.Finally,in the perspective of the new century,through the inspection of the political reading history of Bing Xin,it is bound to realize the clarification and recognition of Bing Xin’s literary image.On the one hand,Bing Xin’s literary status has been unprecedentedly improved after the 1990 s,and readers’ political reading has played a important role in it;on the other hand,it is not easy to get rid of the political narrative framework for literature history.Both Yang Yi’s "History of Modern Chinese Novels" in the 1980 s and Yan Jiayan’s "History of Chinese Literature in the Twentieth Century" published in 2010,although they paid great attention to the promotion of Bing Xin’s aesthetics,once to combe the path of Bing Xin’s creation,they returned to the political Bingxin reading thinking of A Ying and Mao Dun in the 1930 s.After Bing Xin’s acceptance of history,we can see that this is an unnatural narrative mode of literary history.The current literary history seems to want to present an objective and universal narrative of literary history,but in fact it cannot compensate for two special narratives.In addition to aesthetic and political images,cultural Bing Xin is also an important aspect of Bing Xin’s literary image.In the great era of cultural transformation in the 20 th century,the cultural symbols on Bing Xin had an important influence on the acceptance of Bing Xin’s literary works."The Philosophy of Love" is one of Bing Xin’s most important cultural symbols.In the 1920 s,"Superman" first showed the cultural impact of "The Philosophy of Love",which also won Bing Xin a wide range of literary reputations.But cultural Bing Xin is not very relevant with the literary quality.It cannot win a lasting literary reputation for Bing Xin.
